Is there any games that actually have a gay main character? That arn't BL. It seems kind of weird that you see a lot of games about saving the girl so I would think they would change it up to make it more unique or something. Do you think their should me more homosexual characters?

Sure, but only if their homosexuality was not a main part of the plot. Or if the developers of the game showed him or her off like it was a completely new thing. Otherwise, I see no problem with it.
Eh, in RPGs it's not as much of a problem as long as you have the option to make your RP characters homosexual should it be relevant to the plot. I'm kinda disappointed in the general lack of gender screwery in sci-fi games.
I'd like to see more gay characters, but I'd like to see characters who are incidentally gay. Leave the tokens for Mario, please. I'd also like to see more/better female characters and some racial diversity. Character writing in video games could use some improvements all around.

Dragon Age gave you the option of being straight, gay, or bi-sexual, some of the charectors commented on it but other than that it wasen't a big part of gameplay
A homosexual character would be a nice break from the "Guy saves girl,guy gets laid" formula. But,as the very first reply said,it's best for the character to NOT be a walking stereotype,have their own very unique,and intriguing details,like any other well made character (Squall Leonheart or Seifer Almasy from FFVIII are good examples of defined,and intriguing characters),and it should be known to the audience that,yes,the focal character is indeed homosexualy inclined.
Sure, probably. I mean we can't just rely on Gears of War for this sort of stuff can we. I'd like to see more characters that are gay and it isn't really an issue. One of my favorite gay characters in fiction would be Gay Perry from Kiss Kiss Bang Bang. His sexuality isn't really an issue he is just a Private Eye who happens to be gay. More characters like that would be good.
Off the top of my head i can only think of ONE gay main character, and it's not even a game, Its Shinji Ikari, otherwise I would have no problem playing a gay character, but I don't see what It would add or detract.
