For those of you who don't know, this is not the case. These games are all coming out on seperate dates; although they are in close proximity but that's not the point. My question is: If these three games all came out on the same day, and you could only get one, which one would it be? Personally, I've been with the Gears Of War franchise the longest so I know who'd I go with. But hey, that's just me. I'm gonna play all of them at some point; but Gears would be the one I'd get first. So (hypothetically) all these games come out on the same day, which one do you get?

Gears 3 for two reasons:

1. I'm a major fan of the series.

2. I don't own a PS3 to play the other 2.(though if I could I'd would)

Uncharted 3.

Probably because it's the only thing on the list that isn't a gritty shooter, filled to the brim meatbag soldiers.

I wouldn't even have to choose, thanks to my awesomely huge gaming budget.

But as my 360 died and I'm trying to save up some money, I'd go for Uncharted 3. I was hoping Resistance 3 would take place on the Chimera's 'home' world, but looking at the available info it doesn't seem to do that, which rather disappoints me.

Actually you're shooting alien monsters in Resistance 3. Given, they're not humans in GoW either, but whatever they have the same basic model and animations anyway.

Uncharted 3. I'd rather not indulge Epic any longer by purchasing their effortless titles. As for Resistance 3, I didn't play the first two.

None of them.

I dislike all those series and I don't own a console.

If someone held a gun to my head I would choose Uncharted 3. The gameplay in its predecessor was actually pretty good. But the protaginist made me want to jump him off cliffs just to watch him go splat.

I'm going to assume that they're going for a trilogy type of thing. What happens when all three of these series's end? (I'm going to tack on Mass Effect, because it is equally big) What genre/series will take their places in the mainstream?

Uncharted 3 would be my most likely, though I haven't played the second one yet (I have it, just haven't gotten to it) and I hated the sudden shift into horror that the first one did.

But I definitely won't be playing Resistance 3 or Gears of War 3.

The footage that's recently been cropping up really shows some polish put into the multi. Granted, it's numerically based like everyone else, but hey, you can rip off some guy's arm and beat him to death with it.

And really, Gears is the only thing that can potentially offer some kind of surprise.

Uncharted 3: Drake Wins, Everyone Dies Except for His Primary Love Interest and Maybe Sully
Resistance 3: Capelli Fights Against the Alien Menace and Somehow Pulls Victory from the Sphincter of Defeat

Admittedly, Resistance is much like Gears, but I doubt it has the dynamism (read: callous humor and disregard for life) to do anything more than have the main protagonist die in the end.

Tough call, but I'd probably go for Gears, then Uncharted and finally Resistance (maybe).

Epic is still the best shooter studio out there, unless Platinum decides to make a sequel to Vanquish (and even then, they're pretty much equal).

That's not to say I don't like Uncharted. The other two games in the series are excellent, and if the third game is as much of an improvement over the second one as that one was over the first, then buying it is a must for me.

Yeah, but lets be honest and say that the Gears Campaign won't be what a lot of people will be buying it for, Resistance the same. They're both pretty multiplayer dominant titles. Uncharted 3's multiplayer can do what it wants, I'm just looking to see which legend they twist and turn next. The twists in both Uncharted and Uncharted 2 were pretty good. I'm looking for Uncharted 3 to pull through in the story department and maybe I'll try the multiplayer if Skyrim isn't eating my life.

The what? I know you fight mutated nazis, but horror?

[sub]Anyway, I would definitely recommend playing the second one. It's much, much better than the first game. It even has Claudia Black![/sub]

Anything even remotely scary in games gives me such a strong anxiety that I have to stop playing very often just to keep my nerves down. This is why I didn't last even 2 hours in BioShock before quitting and selling the game.

Plus, I liked that the game was so good without anything supernatural up to that point.

Oh, you rat! You threw in that limit of only being able to get one. Hm...I would have to say Gears of War 3. The books leave off on a cliffhanger, and the story is more interesting to me than Resistance--though only slightly more. I love them both very much. Gears also has four-player campaign co-op, which will be amazing.
Another point is that Resistance 2 killed off it's main character and has decided to go with the "Grr. I'm angry and tough. I don't like to follow orders, but I hate it even more when others don't follow orders" man. I'm one of the few people who liked Hale. And now we're stuck with Mister Glowering Face. Great.

I will be picking up both Gears and Resistance on their respective launch days though. So excited.
