Hell yeah, chrome me up till my essence is damned near gone I say. Hopefully I won't go all Superhuman Psychosis on your asses but that's a risk I'm willing to take for some sweet cyberware.

I would certainly love to go nuts but as Recusant explained the complications more succinctly than I could hope to I digress on that matter. If assuming that laws could be made that prevent genetic discrimination (impossible as long as lobbying exists) and I could hope that should I decide to have kids that either the mutations do not get passed on or I am sterile and have already squirreled away my spawn pool...

WE REQUIRE MORE VESPENE GAS!

I would go absolutely nuts. No wings though, I remember reading a fantasy book in grade 2 where a group of wizards and scientists were trying to explain how dragons could fly (while climbing over a very bored and very anti-social 2 tonne dragon that needed to pee). This eliminated any hopes of growing wings but I still want to find the name of that book. WHAT THE FUCK WAS ITS NAME!!! Shit was funny, yo. Was it Dealing With Dragons? Or maybe something by Bruce Coville?

ARGH!!!

Not really.

Unless it's some kind of mutation that I would need to live/survive in the current state of the world, I wouldn't sign up for it (in any case, if it was something that I would need immediately, I'd probably be dead before it would kick in).

It's similar to human augmentation via cybernetics; it's just something about 'being human' that prevents me from realizing any kind of modifications to myself.

Granted, if it were someone that I cared about that would die or live with some major challenges, I would at least consider it.

I would think carefully if i actually get some benefit from a modification. There are quite some useful possibilities. Immunities for some deseases, solving some age related problems ...

I don't really need more muscles though, i have enough for what i need to do. Why build up muscle mass and then let it be wasted ?

New senses... possibly, mental enhancements probably not, as we really don't understand yet enough of that topic and i don't trust methods messing with the brain without having the results of long term studies.

Cosmetics ? I am not really opposed, but i am not particularly vain and kind of a cheapskate. I don't pay for beauty operations now and probably won't pay for the genetic equivalent either.

Overall, possible genetic modifications for adults are pretty limited. They will never work on the whole body and they can't meaningful change anything that is decided while growing up. I would see more drastic or invasive alteration prenatal or even on single cell basis and i would consider those.

Members of the Black Talon, assemble!

As you know, many generations ago, we left Earth to explore and colonize space. However, it is also known that our colony ship stopped on the fringes of our solar system to begin genetic enhancement to deal with any sort of situation we may encounter there. Thanks to our work, each generation of our kind is stronger than the last. We have great mental capacity, superior strength, and the ability to consciously manage all of our physical functions. Hell, we don't even get sick.

But now that we have reached the epitome of physical and mental ability insofar as our science can provide, it is time to begin the project in earnest. Earth will be sacrificed to our new vessel to fill its resource stores. All flesh and material shall be consumed to become part of its matrix! The ultimate lifeform, the ultimate vessel, the Nemesis!

Chemical cocktails, cybernetic augmentation and genetic alteration all the way, baby! I wasn't born a super man but I will die one.
Super MAN? Dare to dream my friend. Why stop at a mere super man when you can become a super-MUTANT
