Giant monsters are out there, and only they seem to have any ideas on how to really combat each other. Many is the time that the human race has to fumble around alot to find the means to handle these creatures, and even when something does work, it can sometimes go very, very wrong.

Show me your fave giant monster, any series or movies.

Me? I like alot of these movies, but there's one that I end up going back to, every now and then...

MECHAGODZILLA!!!​

MechaGodzilla has had little luck as the villain, but strangely later in life managed to beat the big guy as the hero in later movies. Kind of weird, that, but what can you do?

For me, it's Gamera. Stopped being serious early on, became very silly, but fun.

Unfortunately, can't find a clip of the really good bits from that film, Gamera's silly song, "Gamera is go go dancing", or Gamera doing gymnastics on a giant horizontal pole.

I know its fanart, but man, I hope what I heard is true, and that the US Godzilla movies intend on getting crazy, cause I want this fight to happen so bad.

I guess Mr.Jack, I'm disappointed none of the Pacific Rim Kaiju made the OP, if for no other reason than their literal modernization of classic Kaiju monsters. I can find the now closed 'Pacific Rim Sucks' heresy thread. I remember King Kong and Guiron making an appearance.

Its strange...giant land monsters like Godzilla, giant sky monsters like Phalanx just don't get anything from me. But what Lurks Beneath the Waves [https://www.buzzfeed.com/anteater/what-lurkes-beneath-the-waves] just hits me. Terrifying, every last one of them.

I'm 35 years old and grew up on the old movies. I get a walk for appreciation of the classics. Still love Pacific Rim.

Yeah, same. Possibly because you'd see a giant land or sky monster, and can easily tell there isn't one. Now, a land or sky monster in heavy fog or cloud, perhaps...

Anyway, I really liked Biolante and Destroyah. For the former, what if Kraid had tentacles?

As for Destroyah, it's basically just "what if Godzilla were a literal demon from Hell"?

I liked the Kaiju from Pacific Rim too but I don't remember any of their names which is a shame. I need to re-watch that flick sometime. I'm one of those people who thought the movie put its best fight and one of its coolest monsters in the middle of the movie instead of at the end.

Always been a favorite of mine, King Ghidorah.

It's funny, I got into Godzilla with Godzilla: Destroy All Monsters Melee for the Gamecube and original Ghidorah I really liked more than Mecha, nothing against him though. I was like "he's half robot, I should like him more, I'm twelve, I should like him more," just always like the original Ghidorah more.

Anyway.

Wait, I haven;t been keeping up on the US Godzilla sequel very well, all I know is Rodan, Mothra, and King Ghidorah were confirmed, or at least planned, right?
But how crazy they talkin' here? 'Cause I've been hoping against hope that the inclusion of Mothra would also mean an appearance or two by the Priestess Twins (which I also believe against belief could be taken seriously if handled correctly).

The director has said he wants to do stuff based off Destroy All Monsters (the film). Also does have the rights to use Ghidorah too, so...

I mean, I dont know how far out it will go, but nothing has suggested they are going to be all boring about it.

What I like about Mecha King Ghidorah is mostly because he is a "part 2" guy, since it is Ghidorah after being defeated, and I always liked how he is kind of considered the main antagonist.
