It is. As any game is better on the PC.

I don't think this is a particularly swell topic for a thread as it would be a simple question to someone, but anyways.

Well, you don't get the Ballad of Gay Tony DLC with the PC version. In my opinion this is the real fun of gta. It brings multiplayer to a whole new level.

Personally, I think TBOGT kinda fucked up multiplayer. I enjoy it in single player and free mode, but they didn't add any new game modes. I play the original GTA IV and TLAD for multiplayer, although it's mainly the original.

OP: For the price it is I'd say yes, mod support is always nice, and I think Rockstar included a video editor with the PC version, which is cool if you like making videos. The expansions are on their way, also.

Probably, just make sure your video card is up to scratch. The game will absolutely not work otherwise, trust me. <_<

I believe you, but I don't play the multiplayer myself at all, so that does not make a difference to me. I don't think the console versions are bad, I just always prefer PC gaming / the PC versions of games (unless it is a very bad port).

PC port was quite bad, lots of people have issues with it, especially frame rate. Don't get it unless you have a computer which costs 3600USD or 1900GBP.

I don't know why people seem to have so much trouble with the pc port of gta IV. I have a low end gaming pc (8800GS, Intel Core 2 Duo e7300, 2GB Ram) yet I play the game on medium settings with smooth frame rates. I've heard of monster gaming rigs that get worse frame rates than me, even on low settings.

The only thing that eats my computer alive is the draw distance, just bring that down a bit and you should be fine.

I can't imagine something that relies so heavily on driving boats cars would be easier on PC to a console.

It's your choice, but I've got mates who play it with a controller on their PC which makes it a little redundant.

It is worth it for its current price (20bucks in most stores)
But unless you have a high end dual core or a quad core processor do not bother.

It's not that fun and the port is very bad, there's no reason a top end gaming comp shouldn't be able to run it at full settings except shoddy programing. It only would have been worth it if you picked it up for eight bucks back in December.

i own the game, and i bought it through steam, along with having to run the steam client to play it, i also have to run a rockstar cleint... and then once the game is running if i want to auto save i need windows live running. Along with this my PC struggles to play this game even with 3 GB ram, 512 MB Nvidia gfx card (9600) and 2.6GHz dual core proccessor.

The game somtimes runs at a really low frame rate (almost unplayable) and also sometimes the textures dont load, either partially or at all. Also the online multiplayer isnt too amazing as there arent many people on it (max i have played with is about 4-5).

But if you can get past all of that crap it is pretty fun to play...

I've used it on PC, and unless you own the most up to date computer, it runs like shit.

Saints Row is where the fun is, anyway.

Picked it up for £5 at the Steam sale, haven't used it yet, waiting to upgrade.
I'm hoping the poll results say yes though.

To anyone who said "Bad", is it worth £5?
