Poll: GTA 5 or Watch Dogs 2

GTA 5 has a more extensive campaign and more to do in the online mode. But is bolted around gameplay mechanics that are about a decade out of date and generally feel awkward (and if you do go into Online, you're going to be staring at an entry curve resembling a thousand foot brick wall until you grind like hell or buy microtransactions).
Watch Dogs 2 is a bit fresher and certainly more mechanically diverse in its gameplay. But ultimately very short and missions are barely designed at all, many even re-used as collectable pickups. And the online stuff just seems kind half-baked (the co-op "missions" again just kind of re-use the same locales, and the rest is just a mess balance wise).

I totally don't get how people like Rockstar's offerings; bad controls/mechanics with awfully linear missions in an open world. I played the 1st Watch Dogs and it's far better than Rockstar's open world games. At least you have multiple ways to take on missions via shooting, stealth, and hacking. Watch Dogs isn't much different than say FarCry but 3rd-person set in a city with hacking, your basic Ubisoft: The Game but still better than Rockstar: The Game IMO.
I'd say try out something new and different like Shadow Tactics, which is on sale; great stealth game with charm to it.
