Pretty simple.
Do you do anything special, gaming-wise, for Halloween?
I'm using the results in my coursework so as many answers as possible if you could...
Thanks.

In my opinion Halloween is dead.

At least in Australia.

But also because I see in the shops rather than a spider and a creeper I see a big fat dude wearing red.

So no not usually

Not as a Halloween thing but I go to the arcade room at a anime convention which is during the last weekend in October (which Halloween fell on for the past 3 years). Does that count?

Otherwise no.

I get into the spirit of it online, but that's it.
I grew up where Trick-or-Treaters were complete and utter twats so I can't be bothered to do it in real life.

I also don't have the confidence to wear an epic costume I created so meh.

I did one special gaming thing for Halloween once. In my junior year of college my roomies and I were really into Magic: The Gathering, so for Halloween I built an all-black "Halloween deck" of vampires, werewolves, shades and other classic Halloween baddies and used it. It played as a "black aggro" deck where I used a lot of mana or previous kills to pump up all my creatures. Unfortunately, it was too slow to critical mass and I would usually get steamrolled before I got it going. But it was still fun.

Pretty much this. Whenever people say "it's an American thing" I shake my head and say "no, fuck you."

If I have a scary game on hand I'll give it a go, but I'm more in it for the movies. Halloween has and been and always be my favorite holiday, and now that I'm too old to trick or treat, I stay in and watch the scary movie marathons all day and all night long. I effing LOVE horror movies, but it's a damn shame that they're hardly on tv anymore except during October.

It's Fun, but what ticks me off is the fact that not alot of thought is put into Holloween anymore and, during this time, stores are preparing for the consumers to shell out a large amount of their income for reputable gifts. No thought is given to Holloween until a week or two before and is given Zero recognition afterwards. I get exicited when it's 2 to 4 months away, which most people consider it odd.

Yea, I still get dressed up in a Costume for the day. It's probably the best part for me. Last Holloween, I Was Xigbar from Kingdom Hearts 2.

Something gaming-wise? No, not really sure how you could, unless you played a scary game, or like Costume Quest or the Halloween Town parts of Kingdom Hearts.
I just thought of an Idea from your comment. Dress up as Holloween Town Sora during Holloween and then Christman Town Sora on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day XD

EDIT: I just thought that I should leave these here. Sorry, I don't know how to post videos Directly yet :(
*WARNING* Large amount of intellectual comments about Holloween from a Cuddly looking animation...and lots of bad words *WARNING*

You'll also note the Halloween was originally tied to the seasons...and the Southern hemisphere has different seasons, Halloween in Australia should come right after ANZAC day.

I love Halloween. As a guy, I usually dress as something I can talk about with a ton of innuendo, like a doctor or a police officer.
For gaming, how about Doom 3 or F.E.A.R. with the lights off?
Hell, just jump onto Minecraft and spend the night in the nethers on hard mode.

No. Whatever Halloween should be is placed on Friday the 13th for no good reason other than the fact that I like it more. That's when I watch horror movies or play horror games.

Of course, I never heard of anyone doing anything for Halloween where I live except going clubbing or just mentioning it in passing.

Let's see, usually my prerogative is to find any costume that I've had over the years from anime conventions and wear it (i.e reuse it) while giving out candy at the door. That includes crossplaying, which is actually a lot more fun than it sounds. XD

No because I hate that people are not celebrating the Day of the Dead here in Mèxico because of Halloween, I mean Halloween doesn't even have a meaning in this country, so Why are people replacing a much more meaningful Holiday for one that doesn't even belong in our culture?
It pisses me off!
Sure there are parts of Mèxico that still celebrate Day of the Dead but Halloween is spreading like a venereal disease.

Uhm, gaming wise is not an annual thing though we have gotten together, had a few beers and playing Deadrising/Halo's Infection/Left4Dead every other year of so. Though we do always get dressed up and go to the Halloween concerts around the time. In case you're curious, I dress as Raptor Jesus.

Hand out candy to kids and watch horror movies...

Maybe head over to a friends house while putting up a sign that says "Candy at neighbors" house with a arrow without giving the neighbors any heads up...
