Okay fine, so leave doesn't start with a "b." Sue me.

Anyway, many of you on the Escapist have continuously derided the Halo Franchise ever since Halo 3 came out, and possibly even earlier. "It killed any chance of there being a good xbox live community!" "It ushered in an era of bland supersoldier manly men FPS's that never seems to end!" "It killed my father and must prepare to die!" (kudos to those who get the reference) You could say it's become a trend of some sort 'round these parts to hate Halo, even though it wasn't really THAT bad (/initiate firestorm o' hate.)

But, wait, oh look, a new shiny Halo! So what's it gonna be, fellow Escapists? Will you stay true to your commitment to hate all Halo products till the day you die? Or will you... oooooh new Halo... yum... wait, what was was I saying?

It seems to improved a lot from Halo 3, so I'll actually give this a chance...

And then maybe make the world's largest Phallic Symbol in the new Forge World.

I might borrow it at some point, but that's going to be way off in the future. I like FPS games, for the most part, but the Halo series has just never appealed to me. It's a solid series in its own right, don't get me wrong. I just don't like what it started. It is teabagging, bunny-hopping, quick-sniping, grenade-spamming mooks like the ones drawn to the multiplayer of that series that have ruined many a decent clan I've started in the past. The first was in SOCOM: Combined Assault, and then the first Modern Warfare, and now even Red Dead Redemption (not that I'm especially surprised at this point). Add to that the fact that the story has wavered between epic and nigh-unto-incomprehensible (much like the Metal Gear Solid series, another that I am leery of approaching), and I get scared off by the hype and the multiplayer mooks before I've even had time to give it all a second thought.

In short, I will not be there at launch day. I have no plans to reserve it, buy it, or rent it. The closest I may come to touching it will be the gaming room at college and the racks of my local GameStop. Beyond that, I'm steering clear of it. Besides, I need to save my money for more appealing, non-Sequel games, like Brink.

im gonna get it, maybe day one, depends on how much money i got saved up in my account at my local game store

it looks pretty sweet, and the other games have been pretty fun (all im asking for from those games) so i can't see this one being any worse than the ones that i had countless hours of fun on with my friends.

Oh, come on. That's an easy one: The Princess Bride. Give us more credit than that!

OT: I am defiantly going to get it. The game looks like it could be the best Halo game yet, even compared to the classic first installment, and the highly underrated ODST.

I'm not gonna get Halo Reach. I have Halo 3 and that's enough for me. Halo is an ok game but not all that.

I cannot get It soon enough. The wrath of God could not stop me from being GameStop at midnight picking up my Legendary Edition.

I almost have my Legendary pre-order paid off completely.

I love the games. This one I want to show my love by throwing more money at it. I am also a sucker for jetpacks. Even if it was a Halo 3 remake with prettier graphics, and the only addition being jetpacks... hell yeah I'd buy it.
