Emile was arrogant, but an extremely realistic character. I think it's a close tie between Emile and Jorge for me. I thought Kat was extremely distant too, but then again, she'd been through one hell of a war, and lost so many of her friends. Anyone in her position would be distant as well.

Jorge, he's a great and very likable character with a bitchen' mustache...

And He's a Spartan II...

Close call between.. all of them. Emile second, and Jun first because <spoiler=MAJOR SPOILERS> Emile's death made me very sad, but it was so badass at the same time. Jun first by a whisker because according to Bungie, he survived. It's on some legendary commentary or something, they said he's still alive. Which owns.[/spoiler]

Jun, actually.

I don't normally like snipers, but he was pretty cool.

The only other one I liked at all was Jorge.

Carter, Kat, and Emile can rot in the "worst characters ever" bin, alongside Dom and his wife from Gears.

He's also the only one who even COULD have survived...Leaving with the doctor and all.

Jorge, for being a huge, angry Scandanavian with a kickass minigun (Hmm...I wonder where I've heard that before...).
Emile takes second place, but loses first for being just a wee bit too token.

Jorge, just because of his ultimate sacrifice, so sad, made me cry
I actually found Kat's death more emotional because it was completely unexpected. Jorge's was too cheesy for me to feel emotion

It's a tough call. I thought Jun was very entertaining during the sniper mission, but Emile had a kickass helmet and I quite liked his last stand against the Elites.

To be honest, I didn't like any of the characters and found them to be bland. I do like the game, though; the missions were fun (except the last) and the scenery was the best in any Halo game I've played.

I didn't really feel any emotional connection to any of them except for maybe Noble 6 at the end of the game. I think that the characters in Halo games are one of the series' biggest weaknesses.

Lmao, spoiler tags didn't work, and I've only done the first mission. It's a good thing I don't care for the story.

OT: From the hour I've played, I've decided I don't like any of them. I'll choose Jorge because he has a hilariously bad accent.

Kat.
For complicated reasons, I've only played the campaign of Reach with the sound off. Haven't got that far, but for some reason she just seems the most likeable.

Jorge is a second because without hearing him, I voiced him as the TF2 heavy. And lol'd.

The Halo story line is a steaming pile of crap, none of the characters have any real depth and besides CE, the campaigns in every game are boring as hell. Multiplayer on the other hand is brilliant and the Armour Abilities add a nice dynamic to the experience.

Noble six. Why? Why?! Because she's (for me) a complete bad-ass! And if we're going to be honest here, Halo isn't really praised for it's characters. Also,
Now, that's how I'd like to go.

Only two of them are ever given lines beyond a 1-dimensional war movie stereotype, Jorge and Kat. Of the two, Jorge is far more likable, so he gets my vote.

Also, being part of a six-man squad makes the standard mission structure of "You! Go accomplish all those objectives yourself!" very silly. If I need to press two buttons, can't Jun do one himself?

Actually, according to the subtitles, he's Hungarian.

And yeah, Jorge is my favourite. He was he only one I could really relate to, and his and Kat's deaths were the only ones that really inspired any emotion in me.

OK, I certainly wouldn't call your post trolling, but I have to ask: Why post in a thread about Reach's characters when you only like Halo's multi?
