Poll: Have you ever played a game out of anger?

Now there have been times a game has been so bad that I stop playing from frustration, but have you ever played a game because you were angry with it?

I remember I did this when I was younger.

I was playing SNES (US) Final Fantasy III, and I was just getting so frustrated with a boss fight that I would throw the controller, screamed really loud and I punched the wall. I got grounded and had the SNES taken away for a week. After I got it back, I started playing again not because I wanted to know what happened in the story, but because I wanted to prove to the game that I was better than it was.

Let's just say I didn't know it was possible to die that many times in one round.

OT: If a game makes me angry for killing me shitloads of times, I will continue playing it to prove to the damn thing I can frickin' beat it, again managing to prove that horoscopes are a load of pretentious shite, seeing as mine says I give up too easily if I find something too hard.

No, they don't really talk or sound like that, but at the rate of how many times they tell me to play DA:O, it's starting to feel like it.

They're not bad people/company, but there are times where I just want to bury them in a hole.

Just got off a 4 hour terrorist hunt on Rainbow 6 Vegas 2 with my mate (yeh we're shit). Got stuck on this one map for ages and we would not let it beat us, so eventually, with only one guy left on their side, and me dead, it came down to an epic one-on-one manhunt through the building site which came down to the closest finish I have ever seen - I have never been so happy as when the little banner came up saying "Mission completed". Sigh.

When I was younger,playing Street Fighter II Turbo on the SNES.Hated that game so much,and yet,I still played it non stop.Because I couldn't beat anybody past the second fight!Gah!I couldn't do any special moves,and I would just get my ass handed to me,time after time,resulting in me trying to break the controller apart in my hands.Thankfully,I wasn't strong enough to do it.I came back years later,and beat it.I felt so accomplished.

As long as an FPS allows for a good bit of corpse bashing and rag dolls, then I'll play it to get the anger out. GTA4 was good for that. I wish call of Juarez was, but they don't let you beat up dead bodies.

Mario Strikers. There was some challenge level that was IMPOSSIBLE. I tried it with 3 friends, all doing nothing but block and attack the other team, and did perfect power shots everytime, and we must have played the level for 5 hours straight out of sheer hate. We couldn't let the game beat us!

but it did. Now we never mention it again to each other.
