It's really pointless, another bland FPS. Don't get me wrong I love some FPS's, half-life is a little jot of joy that I go back to once every few years. But Halo not only didn't bring in anything new, it killed some other aspects.

I think it's not bad but not good either you know just mediocre but all of the hype it had everywhere really killed it for me because I had heard that it was you know "T3H Gr347357 G4M3 3VUR!!!" so when I played it I was expecting it to be excellent but it was just mediocre which made it feel like a piece of crap and the multiplayer! oh god how HORRIBLE I had heard that CTF was awesome and all that happened was people spawn killing they're own tammates!
I only liked the first one. The others all annoyed me by prolonging a good and self-contained story.
It was pretty good. I've played all of them and enjoyed it. They aren't on my shelf of godliness, but they're still something I like to keep around for a rainy day.

OK sums up my opinions of Halo in a nutshell. I enjoyed playing all 5, but didn't love them. They were just ok first-person-shooters, fun to play for a while and cathartic in a way.
I think it's a great game when played with friends, 4 player campaign co-op was brilliant when Halo 3 was released, playing on your lonesome on LIVE though, not so fun...
I'm more partial to the UT series.

Cole Protocol was good. It def had its moments, but it can't be compared to Ghosts of Onyx or Fall of Reach. I have Contact Harvest, but I haven't read it yet for some reason.ffxfriek said:

I've never played on one, don't own an Xbox. I'm just a bit sick of people going on about how brilliant it is; I went to my friend's house and watched him play on it, but it didn't really strike me as being a great a game as he says it is.
