Small things go in life wise. The bigger and more important they are, the further they go up the list.

I tend to think on a global scale.

Every now and then, universal thoughts pop in.

And I think personally. I need sanity too!

I think about the world and try to see everything from everyone's point of view, but that's as far as I go. Could care less wether there's water on Mars (or beyond) and if so, what any micro-organisms (or bigger) could be doing. If it wasn't for a "neat" factor, it never would cross my mind.

All we can do is think what could be, since we can't touch the unknown yet. Einstein had said something like knowledge isn't as important as imagination (paraphrased if you will). But the idea is not what is, but what could be? That is what makes us different than most animals.

What's the point of worrying about things you can't control? Silly.
This is very very true, had to quote it.

On topic though, I don't think I understand the question

Depends, some times I think I should control the known universe, and how cool that would be, other times I think how cool it would be to stay in bed a extra 5 minutes

Probably on a global scale most of the time, but I can always see the bigger picture; if entire world was destroyed for example, there'd be no one alive/aware of the Earth to care, so why worry? :D

Depends I'd say. I've been known to think of things on a 'galactic' or 'universal' scale, but humans are much more interesting to me than planets, etc.

So life-wise might be more appropriate, as that's what most of my thinking entails.
