You know what? I only post every once in a while when I find something interesting enough to post about or if I have a strong thought about something that hasn't been said previously in the thread. I was a lurker for at least 6 months, so I could definitely have a higher post count, like it matters. I recently realized that about half my posts are when I create a new thread, they usually get pretty far, my last thread got to 7 pages. I think that feeling of getting a popular thread going is a lot better than hitting a post count goal.
By my post count, several times a day. In reality, I post a few times a week and then get stuck replying to everything that catches my eye. Were it not so late, I'd post the XKCD comic that encapsulates my dilemma - I cannot sleep while people are being wrong on the internet.
Recently I've been posting every night because I'm on break, and while on break I have trouble sleeping, and the forums help me sleep for some reason...
On normal days I post depending on the day of the week.
I post pretty much everyday, more than once. Sometimes over a hundred, sometimes only a few, if any, per day.
I love this site, so I stay on it to help users, so I post in any threads that interest me while I am waiting to help.
I usually just lurk about. I post when I can contribute with more than one sentence, but I have a tendency to write a long reply and then discard it and not post at all if I think it could generate some unwanted response. I'd say about 4 out of 5 threads I write a lenghty reply to I never actually post it.
