Poll: how is the lag in modern warfare for the PC really?

I've been looking into Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 for some time now, arguing with myself whether or not to shell out the $60. The only thing really holding me back from buying it is my uncertainty about the lag in the multiplayer. Now, I've heard that the lag for some people is down right horrible and for others theres none. So I am wondering, is the P2P connection for MW2 bad enough not to buy the game?

I think asking people in your region would be better.

Saying that one of my friends says it fine the other says it lags and they live 5 mins from each other...
