Poll: How Many of you killed the Talos Preacher in Skyrim?

So I was playing Skyrim yesterday, and I was leveling my enchanting (the easiest way is to keep going up to Dragonsreach) to do this you must pass Heimskir again, and again, and again.... And finally I just broke down and killed him (I didn't want the stigma of being a murderer as Whiterun is my character's home, so I sneaked into his house at night and killed him while he was eating dinner)

This was totally out of character for this character of mine, to date he has avoided killing innocents whenever possible. He is quite honorable ( no thieves guild, no black hand) He doesn't steal.... AND HE IS A KHAJIIT! But after hundreds of hours of playing on this character I just couldn't take the same damned sermon AGAIN, so I killed him.

I've never killed him yet, though I don't spend all that much time in Whiterun. I usually only stop by to drop stuff off in my house or to grab missions from the Companions so it could be that I haven't had enough exposure to his sermon to develop the murderous tendencies.

I will say that I have both assaulted and murdered Nazeem on several playthroughs. I just hate how arrogant and dismissive he is.

Yep, Heimsker and Nazeem are always on my hit list on every new character I roll. Their existence is a bane to my own sanity. I wish I had the money to upgrade my PC so I could mod those fuckers out of existance, instead of having to metagame every fucking time.

In fact, I'm kinda tired of playing Skyrim on my Xbox, simply due to all the metagaming I have to do just to keep it from breaking. Kills immersion.

If I'm walking somewhere and someone tries to hinder me, I kill them. If someone looks at me funny, I kill them. If there are lots of them, I kill all of them.

I killed him using the console, so technically it was both in the open and sneaky.

He just wouldn't shut up, the arrogant delusional berk.

As soon as i got my Thane status it was my first order of business whack that spammer.He was acting like a telemarketer :Wonna buy some Talos, get your Talos right here with a complimentary set of knives.
He should thank Talos for the audio bug on my first playthrough cause he didnt die that quickly

I actually kinda liked him and he gives some pretty cool info about Talos and the reality bending shenanigans he got up to.

Well, all the characters I've so far played, have been Stormcloak-allies who are loyal to Talos. So no, I didn't kill him. The only character I've played that is opposite to this is an Argonian that has no other desire than to return to Morrowind and continue the fight against the Dunmer. He's simply laying low in Skyrim (after his Argonian unit was ambushed and killed on the border) for awhile and wants no attention there, so he ain't going to kill him either.

So, yeah.

I do occasionally maul him as a werewolf. I'm not sure whether that's sneaky or in broad daylight, though.
I also tried it with brynjolf, but it seems his genuine falmer blood elixir does make one immortal ...

Broke into his house and stabbed him to death. I actually felt sort of bad afterward, but then I realized that I didn't have to hear him anymore and felt immediately better.

I always thought of him as one of the more colorful npcs in the game so I've always left him alone.

The voice actor was hamming it up hardcore. I've seen actors chew up the scenery, but this is the first time I've HEARD them chew up the scenery. It's awesome, the guy is just like giving it fucking twenty thousand percent. I gotta respect that much dedication.

I fuckin' love the guy! He's annoying the entire town probably, but no one can do shit to stop him. I can, but I won't, because I enjoy his rants.

He could get annoying every now and then, but I let him be. He added some colour to the town. Also, I don't really understand the level of hatred towards him, though that guy who keeps asking me if i've been to the cloud district has often ended up dead out of spite.

As far as bigoted blowhards go, he's pretty small potatoes. He never actually accosts me, even when I'm playing an elf, he never actually does anything but talk (unlike the pukestains fouling the air in Windhelm), and he frankly has kind of a point, at least applied to the Thalmor.

I just treat him like the rest of Whiterun treats him: background noise.
