The title says it all but when you buy a computer game are you always in a rush to buy the newest game thats usually £35-45 ($50-70 says google) or do you wait a year til it goes down a little? Maybe you like to do some searching in the past and get games that are a few years old reasonably cheaply (like £5 ($8) or something)?

Do you feel release prices are too much maybe? Do you have a limit on spending perhaps or do you like to just have the newest releases no matter the cost?

Extra trivia edit: Also, do you buy pre-owned's or do frequent trade-ins?

(Dunno if the poll is really necessary but oh well...so much converting)

Well, I'm in the 20-29 section, mostly beacuse I like to keep up to date with gaming, but I'm really not intrested in paying 40-50 for them, I don't make enough money to keep that much up to date, but, the vavle fanboy in me crys out whenever they release something so im normal buying that on the day it's out.

Well I have to say that generally I refuse to spend more then 30$ unless I have done a great amount of research into the title that costs more.
Example buying Borderlands took several hours of review reading by sources I trust as well as looking at many of the ingame vids done by reviewers and the videos on YouTube (You know things that help you form your own opinion). So ya that was 50$ (or something like that) Then we have games like MW that have enough news/netbuz/outrage to just keep me clear of the game.
Hell besides Borderlands, the last game I spent more then 30$ was the Orange box. So to this point you can say I have a history of quality.

I almost never buy games brand new. Unless I REALLY want it I wait for the price to go down.
Recently I've been buying a lot of older games as shown by the last few games I bought. GTA:vice city, god of war 1&2,silent hill 2 and GTA san andreas which I got for only ?5(best deal of my life).

Around 25E is affordable for me, although I do pay full price for some games that I am convinced are awesome.

Then steam puts it on half price 3 days later after I've already bought it. Damn steam, I think it does it on purpose.

I've only paid for World of Warcraft for two years. Over a period of 5 years. So about 10£ per game. The rest is pirated.

I played WoW for about a year and a half and never needed any other game at the time so I was only spending around £8 a month which worked out pretty well money-wise for me.

30ish pounds. If it's a new release I really want, I'llpay the 40 mark, but I'll try and hunt around for a bargain all the time.

I almost always buy trade-ins - I'm a tight arse like that...(I think the last brand new game I brought was Ocarina of time back on the steam-powered N-64)
