If history has taught us anything then it's that nothing lasts forever. All great civilzations have fallen one way or another. The British Empire is, let's face it, gone. How do you think the UK will end, and how far away will it be?

Personally I think we will give it all away like the rest of the Empire.

I'd like to see complete cultural absorption into the rest of Europe, but then i'm a pussy who pretends the world isn't doomed.

Well being British I think it'll be a combination of;

A too PC state where all creative thought is kept silent through fear of offence so artist/comedian numbers decline and everything becomes increasingly grey and there is less and less inspiration for the youth.

Due to our instant celebrity culture getting more of a foothold more people see school/education/training as important so unemployment raises and cost of benefits increases. Our sciences and arts will suffer because of this and the lack of inspiration so innovation will stop

People loose all trust in current politicians (which is happening a fair bit at the moment with expenses fuck up) and blame unemployment on immigrants and then a party like the BNP will gain a foothold and eventually power, mass deportation of immigrants and non-whites.

Our country will no longer be great.

Maybe be a bit fatalistic but I think it's worryingly plausible

EDIT; However I will do everything possible to stop this happening (you know in a few years can't do loads at the moment)

Canada's an independent nation, and all the UK has left in the Caribbean is Bermuda, Montserrat, Anguilla, Turks and Caicos Islands, British Virgin Islands and the Cayman Islands, with a combined population of around 150,000. The British Empire is dead.

I thought Scotland already was a nation on it's own? Ah well. I think Europe will become one big country in about 50 years or so. To stand up against America, China, and possible other powerful countries.

Not that I really have a clue, like everyone in this topic, but a guess is better than another 'Not a clue!", right?

I am pretty sure Great Britain has already fallen. Nearly all the pink parts on the map are gone and every one who's not British just call it England.

Doesn't have one where the BNP take over, repatriate everyone and thus destroy the statte of the country beyond repair, because racist bigots don't tend to be doctors or in fact part of any successful economy (unless of course they use forced labour camps, but lets not give them ideas). What a rubbish poll.

Kimera invasion!

I think the world will end in a nuclear holocaust before Great britain falls (they've got allies and everyone seems to be going after the small asian countries and America (sort of) nowadays).

"Falled"? dude for god's sake check your grammar before you post, "fallen" is the word you're looking for.

More on topic now that my OCD tendencies have been sated. I know I've seen threads like this before "How will X nation fall". Speculation is pointless whatever happens, happens. When it happens we will never know until it does. If you want a method though here's one.

Mutant Zombie Penguins invading from the north riding upon the backs of genetically engineered albino alligators. Their general will be the newly risen zombie Hitler brought back from beyond by witch doctors working for the Illuminati. He's come to exact his revenge on the descendants of the RAF who repelled his forces in WWII.

There's your method, have a nice day :)

It really is a nation of it's own but political desicions are mainly made by the British parliament not the Scottish one. Plus we are apparently still under the queen... who doesn't do much for us.

I reckon it'll end with a break apart into 4 seperate nations then England or Scotland being a forsaken area because of the culture and N.I rejoining with the Republic to form a unified Ireland and Wales joining the E.U. Or the whole thing might go fourth reich if the BNP take over and we invade France, Germany etc.

It'll "fall" by being absorbed into the European Union, me thinks.

But as a good thing. Mankind will hopefully take another step to global unity.

Your an ass.

On a more productive note, it won't. And I'm not just saying that because I'm English. Theres no reason for it to.
