Do you think people would hate them as much, or be so vocal, if they were jewish? No this isn't a jew conspiracy thread, no I don't care about the Zionist agenda. I'm asking from a thinking standpoint since being anti-christian is seen as an opinion but anti-semetic is, lets face it, "hitlery".

2nd EDIT: I am not asking if you think a jewish person can, or cannot, be an asshole. I am asking do you think people would be as quick to decry them if was the Westboro Synagogue or would people be scared they are going to get labelled an Anti-Semite?

The answer to your question is no. Good chance a percentage of them are Jewish anyway. Besides, being a Jew is hardly a recipe for not being hated even these days, ask anyone from Israel.

It really wouldn't matter who what they were. It has nothing to do with there religion, it is there views and the way they make themselves heard is why everyone hates them.

But would you be as likely to say "I hate those bastards" publicly if they were jewish? Do you think the media would be so heavily focussed on them in a negative way? They are a negative group but I can't help getting the feeling that the Anti-semetism thing would prevent them being viewed in the same kind of light.

Yes, because the (western) has a big bias for jews. Just like we support the Jews in Israel, while they don't have any more right for Jerusalem than the muslims and are twice as cruel.

Meh, I wouldn't care, but for some reason I don't really see this happening. Maybe it's different in other countries, but I rarely if ever see a Jewish religious person on TV (or anywhere else). And when that does happen, I don't think they're as extreme as some Christian/Muslim/Atheist people.

But I have noticed that anything that is anti-Jew is immediately labelled "anti-Semite" as if it's somehow worse than being anti-Muslim, or really anti-anything-else. I don't agree with that.

Probably not actually, WBC only have like 70 members or something and a load of them are related

Also, this is what a certain Fred Phelps said at a protest at a Holocaust Memorial Museum:
