The the dividing line is the eastern side of the Mediterranean Sea (so russia, the middle east and everything east of them are in the east).
Africa, Europe, North and South America are the west
Unfortunately, in that situation, it's too heavily weighted towards the west. As far as 'earth-y magic' is concerned, the west wins purely out of having a shitload more cultures to draw upon. The middle-east and the surrounding locale has little to no 'mythology' to draw upon either because the Archaemenid Persian mythology generally sucked, or no-one lived there. As for 'divine magic' the west wins for exactly the same reason, only it's now exacerbated by the lack of a firm knowledge of 'eastern' gods beyond the three main cultures: Chinese; Japanese; & Indian.
Let's list everyone, shall we?
West: Egypt; Norse; Greek; Romanian/Hungarian/Tartar/Magyar; Roman; Mayan; Aztec; as well as the little known African/Native American mythologies (at least where I'm concerned).
East: those three I mentioned.
While most of the western deities will have some sort of analogue in the east, by virtue of being more of them, they win. Sure, the Chinese will have at least half a dozen different dragons for every facet of nature, but that sort of means shit in this context. Further, a lot of Chinese mythology was based on Taoism/Confucianism which is not the most warlike of philosophies, and most of the consequent deities are to do with knowledge/wisdom or some such bullshit. Also, Japanese culture has a god every ten metres (the guardian spirits etc. and it's a pity that their shrines are slowly disappearing). But for a 'war', they may as well not exist.
Thus - at best, I call it an ill-advised question if you're looking for an even argument.
