One of the games which I've always valued as a gem of the modern age is inFAMOUS. It manages to play off a brilliant superhero origin story with a Karmic path, delicious gameplay and awesomely stylish cutscenes. It's clear that Sucker Punch have put loads of love into their work - from my perspective at least. Does anyone else share my admiring views on this dystopian delight? Or did inFAMOUS fail to appease your inner gamer? Share your thoughts!

I love inFAMOUS.

Granted, it had it's moments of bugs, but I felt the characters, gameplay, and choices were all top-notch.

Yes... I was.... EcSTATIC.

I liked that game... but it was nothing special. Actually I loved it, but it wasn't excellent.

The RPG system needed work, namely that you could barely upgrade powers and that you couldn't specialise at all. I wanted to make the basic lightning insta-kill power blasts, but nay.

Only played the demo for it, and wasn't too impressed. The movement mechanics made the jumping feel annoyingly sticky, and the default buttons for special moves were a pain. Perhaps because I lack the dexterity to hold the shoulder button, move the analog stick, and use the context buttons at the same time.

It really did, though after playing it twice, I wish I could just extend the gameplay of the Neon Distric and say fuck you to the entire Historic and ESPECIALLY the fucking Warren, that fucking hobo cage is the most obnoxious place I've ever been to in a video game...

All I know is that there had BETTER be a sequel in the plans of Sucker Punch, and then they need to get back on the Sly Cooper train, because that's a franchise worth revisiting, only cut out some of the support characters and let you play as Sly most of the time with some Murrey and Bentley a bit, but to be honest, I trust Sucker Punch, I just wish they'd release more games more often...

A sequel is literally all but confirmed; actor David Sullivan tweeted last October that he had just been to the auditions for Cole in inFAMOUS 2. Sly Cooper will presumably be coming back - the cinema in inFAMOUS is showing Sly 4, and you can see the Sly symbol on Cole's messenger bag!

InFamous is currently the sole reason I would purchase a Playstation 3.

From all that I've seen, the game looks right up my alley.

I bought it on a wim. It was one of those "I guess I'll try it" games, and ironically enough, it turned out to be one of my favourite games.

The best game of this console generation (that is not a sequal. If you count sequals it is 2nd, right behind Fallout 3)

I had a great time with inFAMOUS. It was a load of fun, the characters were pretty good and I liked the story. Plus the ending I felt was really cool.

great game, i would have liked to see a more in depth power customization, but the story and ending all fit together. still missing the stunt master trophy though. one of these days i will go back for platinum.

I really liked it. Not the very top of my list, but very good indeed. Loved the powers, story and characters. For me it was inFAMOUS or Prototype and I'm glad I made the right choice.

Yeah, I loved inFamous. A lot.

I didn't think it was anything special, and I do believe that was one of the choices.
