These two concepts are similar in that they both obviously avoid death in some way. Immortality takes death by old age out of the picture, while invincibility protects you from harm (for the purpose of this survey, invincibility does not protect from deterioration of cells. a.k.a old age).

So if you had to choose, would you live forever or live a life without injury (and why)?

P.S Trust me, I know the speed of your cells' independent degeneration is indicative of your invincible longevity so theoretically it doesn't make sense, but frankly neither of things are possible. So, which would it be?

Great question, I say this because I can't decide.

If I were invincible I could live life as a hero, as every little boy has dreamed. I would defend justice, and get laid nonstop too.

If I were immortal I could just keep playing videogames in my room and getting shot down by girls for centuries.

I think I would go with Immortal though, because of this thought i just had. What if I was being tortured by a supervillan that caught me? There would be no sweat release of death, only constant and unending pain.

It depends. If immortal meant I still aged, so I'd be freakishly old, and still growing older, I would pick invincible. But if it meant that you didn't age past, say, 25, I would pick immortal.

Invinibility for me. I'd the like the ability to just walk through life knowing nothing could hurt me.

Man, I thought this was gonna be a thread about Invincible and The Immortal from the Image Comics series.

I guess I'd choose to be invincible. I'd rather have one lifetime in which I don't have to worry about the usual perils of life than an endless supply of lifetimes which could end if I caught a particularly bad cold. Not to mention I'd have to go through the agony of making friends and lovers, living a life with them, and then watching them all die, one by one, only to do it all over again. It'd be like hell, after awhile.

Invincible. Living forever would be worse than any hell.
Yes pretty much this.

I mean Invincibility might make you live a bit longer than others, but you still die from old age anyways.

Immortal.

I'd like to live through several thousand years of social and cultural changes. It'd be interesting.

Um, invincibility = no pain.

And I'd take that. I'd travel the world, fixing it, living day to day, stopping fights, and so on, until I got old and died. That would be awesome.

Invincibility, because then I could be a superhero.
One question, though: does invincibility come with the ability to get myself out of sticky situations? Like, what if I got trapped under a boulder or something? Would I be able to get it off, or be stuck?

Invincibility for me. Because then I could do all the things I'd always wanted to do before but had been to afraid to, like join the army and go end this long-assed war.

Well that's just it, and that goes back to godo's comment. You'd be stuck, it just wouldn't kill you. Not exactly a desirable place to be in. Even if in the torture scenario you didn't feel pain, it still wouldn't be any kind of pleasant situation. If you did feel the pain...

I'd like to be invincible. The fear of death takes the fun out of everything and getting to no longer be bothered by death would be, well, pretty neat.

immortality is only good when coupled with invincibility, however immortality would be sweet cause you could always keep learning and having new adventures

Invincibility, Which I'd use to take over the world...

But if I'm not alone with the whole immortal thing, than maybe I'd pick that, so I can take over the world... slowly

Immortality would be nice.
I would get to see the progress of mankind and also i could end my life whenever i wanted
I would still be human because i would still posses the fear of death and the fact any day could be my last. I just wouldn't have to worry about being elderly.
