Poll: is cities XL any good?

so, i like city building games and cities XL is 25% off for the next 3 hours. i looked online and none of the sites that reviewed it i trusted. anyone bought and liked it or hated it?

I'm kinda wondering the same thing. It looks like fancied up Sim City clone without shame, plus it's infused with SecuROM.

I like this game. I spent a couple weeks playing it a little while ago.

Looks great, runs well (on my beefed up computer), good game mechanics that add to the complexity, can be challenging at times.

I had some minor complaints, but I've already forgotten them. I just remember having a fun time with the game.

I think it's worth playing, if you like city builders.

stay away from cities XL, its just another dungeon lords (look it up, they called WORKING version of the game the collector's edition when it was just the regular version with no benefits). stay far away.

sources? i beta tested it while it was under monte cristo's authority.

Beta test =/= finished game, i to beta tested Cities XL and I have had none of the problems I had during the beta.

What was the big problem with the game?

I thought it worked just fine. I appreciated all the differences between this game and SimCity.

I built several huge cities, with trading in between. No crashes.

To me, it just feels like you are complaining about an unfinished beta, nitpicking about minor issues or you have some wild crazy expectations.

Considering just how few city builder games there are, I appreciate having this one.
