It had never occurred to me that it might be unusual for men to like cats until I started seeing articles that said "It's OK For Straight Men To Like Cats" and then other articles that say quite the opposite. So, is it really that weird for men to love cats? For girls, is it a turn-off if your date says that he's a "cat person"? I'm not trying to make you all love cats,
I'm just curious.

Oh the poll didn't post for some reason. So, express your opinion the old-fashioned way: typing it into a computer on an online forum

It might not be the most masculine thing to say, but hey, cats are cute. Kittens in particular. I don't like'em, though. Every cat looks like they're scheming for household domination.

I like turtles, myself.

I hope to God not. As for it being a turn off... Im sort of at a temp point in my life where I could not care less about what turns females on or off, and actually enjoying the lack of noise, chaos and incomprehensible logic.

So I really dont care in the scheme of things. But I love cats and have even done some strange things like when I went to examine a rental property very far out of town recently I came across two abandoned kittens only a few days old. Instead of allowing them to die, I took them to the local shelter so they could be taken care of. I then came back to examine the property and found the mother and the rest of the litter... on the roof of the house. So I contacted the land lady, demanded for her to bring a ladder over so we could extract the kittens off the roof, and reunite the mother, and the litter with the two kittens, where they could be taken care of. It cost me the rental property as the land lord assumed this level of compassion would indicate I would bring cats into the house, but It is a small price to pay to reuniting a family to a safer location.

So.. Yes. Love cats.

Probably a better things to say on a date than "I have a super roid head pitbull named Bites your balls of."
If it's weird to like cats then I must be weird OH NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

Thats an awesome story. I work at an animal shelter, so it's pretty obvious which way I lean.

The easiest response would be "the hell's wrong with cats?" They're fine pets, they can be aloof, but nothing's wrong with them.

If you've got a pet you love, and you're taking good care of it, then there's no reason for you to be ashamed.

That said, the loner with six cats that they use in place of friends, that's weird regardless of their gender.

I think you're weird if you don't love cats.
You get a pie, a cookie, a high five, and ALL of the internets. And I don't know, maybe a lolcat or something. Get it? lolCAT?

Yes, when I lived on my own, I used to have 2 cats. Loved them to death, but now that I'm joining the army, well they frown upon having pets in the barracks, I think they probably do anyways.

Also, how could you not love this?

Every good super villain has a cat and Im pretty sure most of them are straight :)
So while making "oooh cutie cutie cute" noises at cats may be a bit girlie, it is toally coold to sit on a deskchair stroking your cat and giving orders to fire your "laser"

I don't think so, at least i hope not. I've always been a cat person, even when the rest of my family hated them. Now i have my own place and i have my own cat, Ta-Kun.
I adore my cat, we hang out together and give each other stupid looks.
My girlfriend is also quite the cat person, having two of her own, and i think my feline ownership only gives us another thing in common.

Here he is, how could you not love his sweet face?!

I am comfortable enough with my sexuality that I can pick up and hug an exceptionally cute cat, yes. Cats are so much nicer than dogs.

It's not weird at all. Not to me at least, but i love things that can cuddle. So while some people say cats can be annoying because they demand a lot of attention i just think that's cute, and i don't really mind it.

Also, so long as the cat's not naked or rabid or something it's almost guaranteed to be super cute =^_^=

(I know i might come across as cat crazed, but that's only because i am)
