I didn't card for KZ2's bobbing and turning. It kind of made me sick. Anyway, is KZ3 worth getting?

Fuck yes. Despite the Campaign's ending, and the SHOTGUN OF DEATH in multiplayer, the game is really fun. Single player is fun, multiplayer is fun, and you can play with bots! Which is always a treat.

Because bots won't say how much they had sex with your mother. Usually.

Edit: Scrap that, they just appeared.

But yeah, curious myself. Haven't picked it up yet after Killzone 2 was a let down.

FUCK YES

The MP isn't well-balanced, but it works somehow, and is very fun.

The campaign is solid, and with a lot of replay value.

Also, the sluggish motion and bobbing of 2 is improved a lot, for smoother play.

This has a solid chance of my GOTY, and a guaranteed spot in the Top 3.

It is definitely worth it. Even if the story is pretty dull and the ending is a big WTF, it is great watching Malcolm McDowell and Ray Winstone go at each others throats.

Oh, and the gameplay is good too.

The single player is much better than the second one, both gameplay and story wise. Of course, since I hated Killzone 2's story, that's not saying much, but it is better. I was actually excited and curious to see what happened next. There are some real jumps though. At parts in the game it feels like a cutscene was pulled out or something. One minute I'm at an Arctic base telling my teammates that I'll take care of it, next I'm plowing through the snow in a tank that magically appeared. What? It's lacking tie-together scenes. Also, the ending is bad. Where Half-Life 2 Episode 2's ending cuts off with taste, emotion, and good sense for a story telling angle, Killzone 3's just makes you feel, "Wait? That's it? What the hell happens?" Not sure how there's going to be a Killzone 4, but there's going to be.

Haven't played multiplayer because 1) I don't like multiplayer to begin with and 2) PSN is down, so I can't even if I wanted to.

I personally liked the story, it carried me through with the gameplay to my satisfaction. The most important thing here is that Killzone is big on gameplay and atmosphere, so if you want to be sprinting for cover with bullets and missiles screeching overhead, the screams and yells of fighting and huge explosions, combined with some truly solid guns that feel like the business when your popping heads with them, not to mention the best melee attacks I have ever seen. Then by all means pick up or rent a copy, the multiplayer is definitely worth checking out if you want a nice alternative to Call Of Duty or Battlefield, I would reccommend trying out Operations. ;)

Nah, you're just lacking attention to detail. There were multiple "tanks" in the area that can be seen both in gameplay when you're fighting the Helghast before the cutscene and then in the cutscene itself. They are out in the open and in little garage/shed things. Don't feel bad though, lots of other people weren't paying any attention to their surroundings either because this is a bizarrely common complaint.

P.S.
The nuke was on the bottom of your ship, and almost every other ship too because this was Stahl's plan to bomb the hell out of earth that you saw on his computer earlier, the entire time. It didn't just magically appear either. Just thought I'd let you know because that usually seems to be the next complaint from anyone who says that the tank magically appeared.

Hell yes. It's even better if you have Move. Of course, PSN is down for whatever bullshit reason Sony pulled out the hat of bullshit reasons why PSN is down today, so I hope you like single player.

From my experience with the beta, multiplayer consists of spawncamping the fuck out of the opposing team, or getting spawncamped yourself. Singleplayer is fun, but also fairly short.

I wouldn't recommend it, but a lot of people find the multiplayer fun, so maybe I'm just weird.

No, my problem with the ending is that it just ENDS. It would be nice if the characters at least said, "Okay, let's go home." Or even showed them getting ready to make a hyperspace jump. Instead, they ask a question (a rather silly one I think) and then it cuts to black. Same with the tank. I know they got it from the base. It would have been nice if, instead of just showing them running off, it showed them climb up on one of the tanks. Or even look at one and go, "Hey Sev/Rico, I've got an idea." The way the cutscene works, it makes it look like they're going off on foot. I'm glad I'm not the only one who noticed these things.

Just a warning about the stupid ending, spoilers and flame bait
The one thing that pisses me off about the ISA is that they feel they can invade Helghan without reason the whole "they invaded us" excuse is not enough, jesus i thought we would have learned something about resolving conflict in the future (i know it's not real, just a point of reference) What was the justification of the helghan invasion anyway? they go in, shoot the evil guy and get out, wtf lol?

Also what annoyed me most off all is that the small batch of ISA soldiers left on helghan decide to launch a f*cking doomsday device at helghan, why? don't they realize there are 100,000's of inocents on the planet and whatever the military do should not reflect on the citizens of the planet? Seriously the ending would have been better if they just invaded earth, then maybe! there would be a reason for a cliff hanger at the end.

I haven't played it that much but the main characters Hair Cut looks really silly to me.
Oh don't you know? ALL the soldiers today need to keep their hair gelled in conflict.
