Hello console gamers.

Whilst I've seen a lot of people saying that they are going to move away from the Xbox next gen for reasons that have been well discussed, I've also seen many who are going to stick with the Xbox as they are comfortable with the new requirements.

However, I don't think I've seen anyone say they are moving from Playstation to Xbox. I'm curious if there is anyone here going in that direction. If so, why? Were you let down by Sony in the past or were you underwhelmed by their offering and like what Microsoft have in store.

Here's a poll so we can do some maths later. That should be fun.

Alternatively are you getting your gaming fix elsewhere, Nintendo, PC, Steam box etc. Apologies for not including you all in the poll, space limits and all that.

I'm not 100% sure what I would answer for I am all powerful and own BOTH the 360 and the PS3!

However, the 360 was always my primary system and the PS3 was purchased late for exclusives/blu-ray abilities so I suppose for the purposes of this scientific study, I shall call myself a 360 customer.

I have jumped ship so quickly that I may have broken a world record. Sony has completely captured my gaming heart and soul and I shall be purchasing a PS4 as my primary system. If the Xbox One decides to get it's shit together and remove the 24 hour online check-in, it has an outside chance to become my secondary console late into the generation.

I will consider dipping my toe into the PC gaming world but baby steps here people

Im going from Pc with xbox 360 and Wii on the side to Pc with WiiU, 3ds and Xbox 360 on the side.... and maybe a ps4 later down the line and maybe a xbox one when if it gets to £200

Now that that's out of the way . I own all 3 current gen consoles , i jnever owned the original xbox , but i have owned the ps2 and the Gc ( as well as older consols but wtv). I have no console loyalty , i usually buy them all . But this time , this time i will not buy the xbone . I will however buy the ps4 and the WIIU ( if ever any games would come out on the damn thing). So no jumping ship . Just choosing my poison . As always.

Well, I'd consider myself primarily a PC gamer these days, but I did have a PS3 before I had a capable gaming PC, so. I own an Xbox 360 as well, mostly because of Halo, Banjo-Tooie, Gears of War, and a few PS360 games I couldn't find the PS3 versions of.

The way things are looking right now, I'm either going to be getting a PS4 or big PC upgrade to herald my way into the new console generation. It depends on the launch line-up for the PS4 and the cost of the current/next generation of graphics cards 'round that time.

I won't be getting an Xbox One unless they drop their mandatory online check-in, though. And even still, they'd have to show me a bunch of exclusives that I'm interested in (most of their E3 line-up gets a resounding "Eh" from me) before I decide to drop that kind of money on a console I'm not likely to use all that often.

With a little 'help' from modern Rare, who were a few years ago gutted and turned into a Kinect studio.

Yo. PC master race y'all. But in all seriousness, my next console purchase is likely a Wii U. I did have a 360 before I got my PS3. Which I really only played Lost Odyssey on it. I prefer my PS3. Much more interesting. PS4 I might get. I want to see more of what Sony is planning with it. Xbox One is not an option.

Yeah . But they actually seems to have put a lot of work into that game . Plus killer instict hasn't had a game since KI Gold on the N64 . So a reboot , is more than welcomed . Unfortunately it's on the xbone . Even if the game isn't AMAZING, fighting game enthusiasts will be all over that game ( even if they don't buy a xbone). I actually want this game to do well , even though i hate the console with a fiery passion .

I also want Killer Instinct 3 to be good but I am very sceptical atm from what I have seen of the game and looking at the devs track record, also its confused business model and the simple fact its only on Xbone (not handy for tournaments) combined with a niche fanbase I am not sure it will do that well. I know why its an exclusive but really fighters need to be on as many systems as possible or anything but the Xbone tbh that console is just toxic. But we will see maybe after they will bring back Primal Rage and Weaponlord personally I am still waiting for Darkstalkers 4 (yes different companies I know).

As for the consoles I am similar to you as in I usually buy them all I also bought all of last gens including a Dreamcast while the gen before I missed the saturn and only had a N64 and PSX, I also use my PC but very rarely due to my stance on DRM so I refuse to use Steam which limits me quite a bit on PC.

This gen I will probably end up getting the PS4 and WiiU at some point once they have some games I desire but as for the Xbox One I will be passing I just cannot support such a frankly abhorrent piece of hardware and even if didnt have all the restrictions 429 pounds is way to much I didnt buy the PS3 at that price and I wont buy the Xbox One at it either although thats irrelevant because unless I get one for free I wont be getting one anyway. If I do get one for free I will sell it.

So I am not jumping ship I am just abandoning the Xbone ship and staying on the others.

Killer Instinct 3 only has fighting game fans excited atm because its the only next gen fighter so far if Capcom,SNK, Namco etc announces anything then it will likely be quickly forgotten (if it dosent die on release anyway) by the majority also Arc are bringing out the next GG game once the details for that get in that could be huge just a shame it probably wont hit EU until 2018 or something stupid but at least the PS4 is region free.

I'm in a household with all three current-gen consoles, however, the 360 is easily my most used one out of the three. Almost definitely jumping ship to the PS4, the only way that I'd consider buying Xbone at launch is with some changes. May well get one later down the line though.

It did look a lot like a current gen game . BUT apparently ( according to Maximillian , the fighting game specialist of sorts ) when you actually see it being played in front of you , it looks absolutely stunning . I personally hold his opinion in high regard when it comes to fighting games , so i believe his word on anything fighting game related . Also , remember it's a launch title , so the graphical enhancements won't be as big as it could be .

PS3/Xbox 360 to PS4. It's been a while since I've touched my 360 and I've pretty much migrated to my PS3 entirely so for the sake of this poll, PS3 to PS4.

There was a decent showing at E3. The Wonderful 101 looks like a killer app, to me. Your mileage may vary but I really, really want that game.

OT: I'm PC, probably sticking with PC but I'll buy a PS3 and some of it's exclusives when it's cheap. My brother has one, but I can barely use it :[ I'll probably get a PS4 down the line, too. There have been a lot of Sony exclusives I wanted.

And, of course, I need a Wii U.

I own all three current consoles, I have Wii U already and I plan to get PS4 when it's released, I probably won't get Xbox One unless a whole lot of incentives to pick one up comes up. So there should be a "I'm open to any new console" option for me personally.

Sony has been great to me so I'm sticking with them. I also had a Wii for a few exclusives and I'll get a WiiU for the same reason. The only ship I may jump is PC because most games are multiplat and I loathe DRM. Hate is not strong enough of a word to describe how much I despise it.

Not that I've got anything against Sony, but this has been long overdue.
