okay, gonna try to keep a pattern.

There is no story, as you get achievments for completing simultaneously any of the 4 zombie secnarios. At the end you get rescued, and are saved by the military, but each storyline is just the four of you in different environments versus the Horde.

However, maybe 1-2 hours of playing it gave me 210 G.

There are four characters Louis (a office worker), Francis (tattooed biker), Zoey (smart college girl) and Bill (Veitnam vetreran). They have almost no backstory explaining how they found each other, how they know to expert handle guns, and such.

Unlike other games there are 8 total weapons:

1.Submachine Gun (Uzi)
2. Pump Shotgun (Remington)
3. Pistol ( Colt .45)
4. Carbine (M16/M4)
5. Auto-Shotgun
6. Hunting Rifle
7. Pipe Bomb
8. Molotov

It's basically just pick a gun, a character, and a location. Then make it to the end for an achievment and body count.

The game isn't bad it's maybe a 6-7 out of 10. There is NO story, which was kind of a let down but makes up for it with the sheer zombie horde fun. It's fun to play with friends and it is even more fun to play with friends on a rainy night on the hardest difficult with no lights. It's very rewarding and tends to lean heavily on it's co-op play, but I'd say that it's better to wait for the price to drop before you get it.

Not much of a review sorry to say. Also, everyone who doesn't have it already, pick it up! It really is a great game.....
Back to OT, try being more in depth.

There isn't supposed to be a story. You are plopped down in the middle of a zombie apocalypse, you don't know what's happening, you don't know if it's happening all over the world.
You have one goal, survive.
That's what makes L4D unique.

I didn't think much of this review. You don't offer any explanation about what the game actually is about beforehand, there are several spelling and grammar mistakes, and some typical mistakes, like overuse of parentheses and listing instead of constructing a well-done paragraph.
Also, it's too short. You don't mention the new Survival Mode, you don't mention what type of zombies you'll be facing, no comment on graphics or sound, no mention of the DVD-like commentary by the developers. Also, metion that the game is on Steam, which some people love and some distrust.

Also, L4D doesn't "tends to lean heaviliy" on coop play. It's a coop game, period. You're meant to play it with friends, and only play the singleplayer for purposes of practice.

not much of a poll
lol
but i liked the game because back story doesnt matter the game starts out "shitshitshit! run or shoot? BOTH! AAAAAAHHH!". Because there are zombies surounding you and your trying to rush across own without dying it doesnt matter how louis met up with the group or how zoey got so good with weapons. the only guess i have is that they all picked the same hiding place and Bill taught them some marksmanship in the 2 weeks after infection.

Let us generalise(i swear spell check hates me!) here, Francis is a biker, They shoot shit and rape people or that is just what i read in the news paper that explains why he is able to accurately fire a gun. Bill is a veteran need I say more. Zoey is a college girl so she needs to know how to protect herself from frat boys hence special combat training and finally Louis unable to fund his Pill addiction he planned to off his co-workers and then rob them this explains his capability with guns.

Enjoy.

Hey everyone, just made it!...wait no poll?...anyways back on topic: I think that L4D is the kind of story that does best with no prior story attached. But hey there are still plenty of things to pick up on in the game.

6-7? GTFO!

I will admit that the game does feel a little more like a mod than a standalone game, but that doesn't make it bad. Certainly not 6-7 bad. If you want to be HARSH on it, 8.0 minimum.

The weapons are few (too few) but superbly balanced. Even the grenades are hard to choose between because of their advantages. You never know when you need a pipe bomb to distract the horde, or a Molotov to "gate" off an area from zombies.

What part of "Best Co-op game of the year" did you miss? The game is suppose to be heavily emphasizing co-op, in fact that is pretty much the only reason you're fighting zombies, since pretty much every other known enemy in existence can be killed without teamwork.

I never noticed that... I did however notice that the cows in the "Blood Harvest" have their neck or skulls missing. I can't remember which, but it was rather interesting.

I've notice that about games. Why is it that an Office worker/college student, hell even government agents shoot expert with military weapons they've probably never touched before?

Well, Louis has said "The guys used to make fun of me when I would head down to the rifle range during lunch break. Not so funny now, is it?" and you would expect him to at least own a gun of some sort.
They actually have their own default story-cannon weapon. Usually Louis is depicted as having his Mini-Uzi,(His A.I. usually goes for that, or the M16) so maybe this hints at him having one? Francis looks likes he has been through a lot of stuff, and since he is a biker, perhaps he was in a biker gang? He must have been really good with the shotgun, which explains why his A.I. usually takes up the reigns of a shotgun. Bill obviously has experience with weapons, and most likely has shot all of these in his spare time.
As for Zoey... maybe she had a boyfriend that went down to the range to practice shooting, and he brought her along with him? Again, Story-cannon depicts her with the pistols, which are common to use at shooting ranges, and her A.I. usually takes the Hunting Rifle.

Valve has left quite a nice trail for its newly acquired fanboy.
