Poll: Left handed or Right handed?

I have noticed that there are quite a few games coming out nowadays that are giving the option of left-handed controls. I have noticed this because I am left handed (Elite 10% ftw!) but when I try to switch the controls it throws me way out of whack. I think this is mainly due to the fact that Left handed people barely matter in a society where the majority is Right (Wrong lol) handed so us Lefties have to adapt and learn to work with Wrong handed tools. Anyway, I am just wondering how many people here at the escapist are Left handed?

I don't hand an ambidextrous option because that is just a skill acquirable by any. This poll is asking straight up dominance, which hand is used more?

I'm left handed, and I'm glad since it's a not so common thing. Also, I heard that left handed people are more prone to insanity, which is wonderful in my opinion

Lefty, but I have a tendency to switch for different tasks
Writing and playing DS, I generally use the lefty option.
Playing guitar and Guitar Hero, I play righty.
I do bat southpaw.
But I shoot right handed (the few times I have used a gun).

I'm with you. Yet I am a strange type of ambi. I am dominant with my left hand throwing a baseball, and swinging a bat. Yet when I golf, I swing right-handed, and I write right handed. However there are a multitude of other tasks that I am equal at with both hands.

I've tried writing my own name left handed and a small child could do better!

Mmm, if you have complete and equal control of both hands no matter what task, that is ambidexterity. What it is not is say, if you favour say one hand for writing but use a mouse in the other. This is called mixed-handedness. It's still pretty neat all the same, but it's often mistaken for ambidexterity, which in itself isn't very common at all.
