Well most of us know that Bob Dylan is one of the greatest musicians to ever walk this earth and that he has alot of great songs. I'm just interested to see how many people like Bob Dylans music/story's on the escapist. Also, I have been trying to list his greatest songs and it's flipping hard, so I chucked some of his popular songs in a poll or you can just make a list of your top 5/10 favs. And if possible, how did you come across Bob Dylan? (eg. TV, Friends, Gossip, Internet, etc.)

If you noticed Like A Rolling Stone and Hurricane is not on the list it's because those are his best 2 easily.

The montage at the beginning of Watchmen with "The Times They Are A-Changin'" playing in the background was just awesome.

I agree. It was done very well and the soundtrack for the Watchmen is the best I have seen in awhile.

Hm...I like Joey, so I guess I'll vote other so I can say that. Also, I have a soft spot for Trapped Inside of Mobile.

I got into him because my parents and brother are crazy Dylan fans.

While I'm not convinced of his genius, I do like some of his songs, and after the Watchmen I'm rather fond of "The Times They Are a Changin"

I love "The times they are a changin'", it's hard to choose one of his songs but I think I'll go with that one.

Sigh... Bob Dylan...

Times are a-changin. I love it thanks to Watchmen movie.

I like him, but I find myself liking him less and less the more people like him. People my own age like to consider them self Bob Dylan fans because he was "revolutionary", you're not even 20 yet, you have no fucking idea what Dylan was about. Like him for the message or his music don't act like you were uplifted by the spirit of his time.

The Times They Are A-Changing. Mainly because it accompanied the godlike Watchmen intro, but also because it's really darn good.

Though I must admit I have far from heard all of Dylan's songs yet, only the best known ones.

Can't help to wonder why Hurricane isn't listed though.

Isn't Knockin on Heaven's Door the most covered song ever?

It also happens to be my favorite.

The reason is on the OP.

"If you noticed Like A Rolling Stone and Hurricane is not on the list it's because those are his best 2 easily."

Dang, I never heard any covers of that. Besides GNR, who did both. And I liked both. That's right. I liked their KOHD cover. WHAT?!

GNR didnt cover Yesterday from The Beatles. They do have a song called Yesterday but its not the same as of The Beatles.

GNR Yesterday: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eKBgCwkZTBQ

The Beatles Yesterday: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FsLj8blqSgQ

They did cover Paul Mccartney Live and Let Die.
