Hey all ye escapist users!
I have a question for you. I was browsing Gamespot (another gaming website I frequent) and found that many comments on the LBP2 review were questioning why it is that LBP2 was awarded a score of 9.5 when Mario galaxy got a 10.
I say this now, I don't want to discuss why you think this is right or what you think it should be! What is interesting is which you prefer and why.
Personally, I prefer the LBP series in general, because I believe LBP is more challenging, and LBP2 in my opinion is the most varied platformer out there. I also find Mario games less engaging and I think the franchise is getting stale. The story is always none existent and the boss fights, though often epic in the Mario Galaxy games, are too easy.

But anyway, that's my opinion. I know both games have dedicated followings, so I thought Id ask the escapist community their thoughts!
Cheers guys, and no flaming! =]

I'm going to go ahead and post in a vs thread (which is an awful thing for me to do).

Super Mario Galaxy 2 a thousand times. I love 3D platformers and am holding a grudge against the 2D and 2.5D ones right now for being so...many. In other words, I miss the late 90s.

Galaxy 2 is an incredible game, though.

Mario Galaxy, because I like to judge games based on the actual game. Not that LBP isn't great, it's just more about creating things than playing the game.

I have beaten every game in question, and, while the Mario Galaxy series is extremely fun, LittleBIGPlanet simply offers more. And more is a hefty understatement. You'll fly through the SMG series in a matter of weeks, but in months and maybe years, you will still have more things to do in LBP.

Now, if you hate multiplayer, go with SMG; but if you have a PSN account and don't mind online interaction, get your hands on LBP. It's also local multiplayer, and is great fun that way.
