Hey all,

I was wondering if anyone here knew a good place to purchase or download (if its legally free) videogame soundtracks/music. Also if possible all of the sea shanties from Assassin's Creed Black Flag. I readily admit to singing along with the crew as we look for hidden islands and merchant ships.

I know there is OC remix, but looking for a good place to buy full soundtracks.

Thank you

Some soundtracks (Borderlands 2 for example) are available on iTunes and the like. I'd check out Bandcamp as well as I believe a fair few indies have posted soundtracks there. I think Super Meat Boy's soundtrack is on sale there.

Itunes is your best bet for legal soundtracks, with GOG for older works.

Humble Bundles also have them during Bundle sales but only for the games listed.

Surprisingly enough Steam sells the odd soundtrack as well, I got the Sins of a Solar Empire: Rebellion soundtrack as well as Hotline Miami thought it during a Steam Sale, but it requires you to have the base game apparently.

Well there's definitely Youtube, for one. Not a "download" but everything is there and to my knowledge legal.

I know Amazon is a great source. Video game music is a pretty small market so I'm not sure you'd find anything on iTunes. But I've found official symphonic (I have a bit of a thing for the classical and orchestral styles) suites for Final Fantasy and many Nintendo games (Zelda: Symphony of the Goddess and Distant Worlds in particular) as well as sheet music.

Steam also sells a lot of soundtracks, and they are very common in Humble Bundles.
