So whats you're guys' preferred color to play with, if you had to choose just one? Just trying to get a sense of the Escapists color preference. And if you don't play magic, you could take the quiz for it they have on the escapist and post that answer! And if you really dig magic you should post a more detailed description of your preference in the section below, using your fingers to type! And if you're still reading this, stop!

I'm white mostly.

I play green and white, but I chose green on the poll because I usually build hybrid decks and green is almost always one of the colors.

To play with? Man, I haven't played MtG in nearly a decade. It's probably a lot different to what I remember.

But to answer the actual question... blue. Definitely blue.

"I play my awesome green 15/15 trample beast of doom."
"Counterspell."
"FIne, I burn your everything and before you get any ideas, here's an anti-counterspell spell."
"Redirected."
"Fuck you, I play my black destruction spell of doom."
"I tap all your land."

In the quiz I got white. Blue sounds fun though. I always liked the idea of illusion spells. Being able to turn my enemies on each other. Like when Gandalf makes the trolls bicker in The Hobit and they fight till sunrise and turn to stone.

Blue is broken, and has become a joke in the as of late. If it takes 22 mana to kill you on turn 3, it should not require 2 to stop it and put the spell into the graveyard.

(Also, tapping your opponent down is now virtually useless as they can just tap in response, and nothing can prevent mana from being drawn.)
I have no idea what any of what you just said means.

Black. Power at any cost.
Creatures are fodder. Even mine are just resources to make your life miserable, even if it means they have to die.
0_0 intense, bro. I hope you just take the roleplaying aspect of it seriously or something, lol.

I'm a little nostalgic for green.

I was the first, at least in my school/tourney area, to figure out the unlimited life/damage/creature combo.

I like to play Blue every once in a while, but realistically, I'll play Red most often. I won one tournament and got in third in two others with my Koldotha Rebirth deck. :D

Blue/Black. The blue deck gives you the means to manipulate the other player. Black gives you a good balance of synergetic murder power. Other combinations are less effective. Red gives you more killing power but neither classic red strategy works well (the swarm approach or the big creatures approach) with blue. Green's focus on things that make your own forces better pale in usefulness to the ability to simply steal important things or get around defenses altogether. White's focus on protection and healing lead to a slow and plodding turtle strategy that gives an opponent far too long to find a gap.

I play blue control, because having friends is overrated.

I haven't played Magic in years, but I'm slowly getting back into it.

When I used to play all the time I played as Black/Red as my main deck, it was so much fun playing that. I did have a blue and a white deck that I would play and try out with for funsies, but I could never find the right balance for the white deck.

Such is life I suppose.

I love blue but I mostly play black now but that gets me more hate than my blue decks :/

[mtg_card=Reassembling Skeleton]

That little card is just hilarious when you have a really good think about other things to use it with. I've never had so many people in a multiplayer game try and hammer me into the ground so fast before, or take so long about it.

Escapist says I prefer white, but I really prefer playing blue. I really like blue's control.

Blue. I'm a manipulative prick and like mindgames and having control of the game. I play like this pretty much every game I play.

blue because "trololol i just milled everybody for 40 cards"

EDIT: as a side note, that blue deck has had a life total of around 80 at the end of a game once, purely because of ivory towers and no maximum hand size.

I love me some Red (go figured, right?)
I love just being able to have an army of creatures at my disposal and being able to keep constant pressure on my opponent. If I had any complaint about red though, is that they release way too many cards that are the same bland cheap creatures, yes its nice to be able to play a 1/1 goblin or have the choice of it being a spark elemental and what not, but throw in another (1) colorless to the cost and give me something interesting to play around with. That's one of the reasons I quit magic in the first place, once the full lists came out on the net I'd look through the red cards and maybe find one or two mildly interesting cards and the rest would just be the same cannon fodder.

Side note: Anyone that plays an instant blue deck needs to be punched in the face...repeatedly.
