Poll: Mass Effect 2 or Borderlands

Yep, its another of the that game or this game threads. Sorry to do this, i just wanted an opinion on it, i only have money for one of them.

I have got the original Mass Effect but haven't completed it, and there is no way i will before Tuesday (or whenever ME 2 is released).

I have a few friends who are going to be playing Borderlands with me if I get it.

Mass Effect 2 is a better RPG. Get this if you like RPGs more than shooters.

Thanks, I am one of those people that likes any kind of game (as long as it is not RTS) so I wouldn't mind RPG or shooter.

Humph... If you have a lot of friends who have, or are willing to buy Borderlands, I'd go for that. But if you don't have many gaming compadres, then I'd go for Mass Effect 2.

and what are you basing this on? videos? mass effect 1 was a worse "shooter" than borderlands

Mass effect 2 however looks much more promising, people who have played it is saying the combat is flawless, it wasnt even near flawless in borderlands.

That's a good way of thinking about it, I think i will go for Borderlands since I could do with some silly fun and I still have Mass Effect 1 to complete.

Borderlands is more of a shooter and great to play with friends. Might wana change the thread title though...

i couldnt take the pressure of choosing for you

so i picked 42

i can give advice though

if you decide to beat ME by tuesday (which you can, my first play through lasted 10 hours) and you want to see where the story goes after that, then get mass effect 2

if your more the type that likes to play halo style games but wishes it had more guns and crap to kill forever (and your playing on consoles) then get boarderlands.

if your on the pc, though, just get mass effect 2. borderlands is too much of a pain in the ass to get going multiplayer online to be worth it IN MY EXPERIENCE

so there, thats my advice

Even though i strongly believe that mass effect 2 will be a much better game, playing with friends outweighs that... go borderlands and play with ur mates... the more the merrier
