When you play through Mass Effect, what kind of character are you? Paragon? Renegade? Other?

Captain Jack Assery, or Lieutenant Ben Elovent?

Who are you?

EDIT: Thank you everyone for the replies and comments, I'd like to acknowledge Naheal's post for no other reason than because I found it to be very enlightening.

I am primarily an incurable psychopath, cross me and face dire consequences, I'm ready and able to use whatever dirty trick in the book to silence anyone who gets in my way. Threats only earn you a slug between your teeth.

But at the same time, the "greater good" takes priority over personal desire, no matter how annoying the Citadel Council is/was, their leadership is essential if we intend to defeat the Reapers.

My first Shepard was like full Paragorn. Haha. He was like an angel. =)
Though my more serious character which I intend to bring over to ME3 is somewhat both, with a majority of paragon. She does whatever she thinks is right in that specific situation and goes by the motto: "If you point a gun to my face I will kick your butt".

Wait, what?

OT: Paragon, but when it offers me a chance to do something badass (read: push dudes out of windows) then I take it.

About 60/40 renegade/paragon. I take almost all of the red choices when they come up. I hope they ditch the para/ren checks in ME3.

Mostly Paragon, but I'm more then glad to pick a few renegade options to get what I want.

Everything.

But if we go by first playthrough, then I'm paragade-ish. I just do what seems best. Though I have slight renegade tendencies.

Paragon when doing small deeds and/or working on my public image... Renegade when working "with" criminals, doing main plot (i have to be efficient and driven to SAVE THE GOD-DAMN MILKYWAY), or when someone tried to take advantage of my "nice side"

Ended with a good chunk more renegade, but had a lot of Paragon too.

No no it's an actual term used over at the bioware site.
Google it, yo.
Sounds like some kinda wish-washy deodorant. But yeah that's more or less how I played. I always tried to pick the option that would keep as many characters alive. For the next game of course.

Paragon. Not much for playing "evil" in games. Though I guess you're not really evil, just a bit of a dick.

I chose Renegade as my first play through in Mass Effect, then I played again as Paragon. I found that this is one of the few games with moral choices that actually makes being a good guy incredibly satisfying. NPCs seem like..actually thankful to you.
Except the Council, screw those guys. D:<
In the second game I was mixed a bit more, but clearly leaning towards most Paragon choices. I tended to do a lot of the Renegade reaction commands but remained mostly Paragon in actual conversation.
So mostly I prefer Paragon.

My first Shepard was paragon as could be, except she let the Council die in Mass Effect 1. (This was because I thought saving the Council would allow Sovereign to survive or something.)

My second one a mix of both. Initially she was going to be my renegade play-through, but Renegade Shepard can be such a thug and a bully sometimes, so I ended up wussing out and taking so many paragon options that she couldn't really be called a renegade. She ended up saving the council, too, because I wanted to know how that would work out in ME2.

Also in Mass Effect 2 I just take all the interrupt options, regardless of whether paragon or renegade. (except when Renegade entails being a dick to people who don't deserve it.) Both playthroughs

It's amusing that Bioware actually put in a Paragade reference into ME2.
"Only losers drink Paragade ..."

There are only a handful of places where being a paragon actually is harder, so there's no real reason not to take the high road.

Generally my initial playthrough is Paragon and second is Renegade and after that I just do whatever I feel works best with the character I'm playing(because, you know, it is still a role playing game afterall).
