Poll: Middle-earth: Total War

So, some friends and me where thinking about the Total War series. We then realised that a Total War game set in Middle-earth would be awesome. Think about it, a army of Haradrim marching against the armys of Gondor.

So what do you think? Does this sound like a good idea?

And please don't tell me I'm retarded because there is alredy such a game or something something in the month of may...

EDIT: Okay.... I can agree that Battle for Middle Earth is a good series but they are not like Total War so stop suggesting that.

This sounds weird even to me but is Middle Earth big enough? The actual canonical map doesn't seem to me to be as big as the maps in Total War.
This easily rectified by showing each little village but I dunno. To be honest a real Tolkien fan will hopefully correct me but it didn't take the fellowship that long to traverse the world.

There arn't that many forces unless you count the ones no-ones (in the general public) ever heard of, every one would play Mordor, Isenguard, Rohan or...the other one...I can't remember, and that's just BFME

BFME, and BFME2, Battle for Middle Earth One and Two.
Awesome RTS games, play them.
The first one has a campaign which plays like a simplified version of a total war game, try it out.
A Tolkien Total War game would be pretty cool though.
