Poll: Modern Warfare 2: For Better Or Worse?

O.K simple question. a good friend of mine prefers Modern Warfare 1 Multiplayer. Stating that Modern Warfare 2 has Over complicated things. in a few of my recent posts a few people have mentioned pretty much the same thing.

What do you think?

I prefer MW2, unsure why. Just seems like a better game. I could never get on with the first.

Ive only played Modern Warfare 1 multiplayer, i have Modern Warfare 2... but i havent played it online yet.

After MW2 I bought MW1 and was actually expecting more from MW1, but it let me down in a couple of ways. MW1 isn't perfect, a lot of weapons are shit and there isn't really as much action as there is in MW2. I still prefer MW2 > MW1 because of the nice selection of weapons (most of which work as a weapon) and the playing still. I just take the lag, hackers and shitty bullet registration for granted.

For a second I was surprised by the positively dominating lead of MW2; that is, until I realized there were only 5 votes xP

But yeah, I prefer MW2 because there's a lot more game there. There's more weapons, a lot more perks (when you take into account Pro versions) more killstreaks, and it all adds up to be my favorite thing of all,a better way to customize your particular classes, really make them yours.

In COD4, more than half the people had stopping power, martyrdom, and an m16. And I don't even mind them in that I thought they were overpowered, I just didn't like the lack of variety.

Also, titles are fun.

EDIT: I think it's funny that (now) the votes are evenly matched, but every single post supports MW2, there's none defending the first one.

I think the maps in MW1 are a hell of alot better than those in MW2, but it (MW2) plays smoother and quicker. So my vote goes to MW2.

I never miked MW1's multiplayer, probably because I bought the game so late and felt I was at a disadvantage.

I got MW2 at launch and got into the multiplayer early. I've been enjoying it, but I've been sidetracked by other games this week.

I prefer Modern Warfare 1. There's not *too* much difference between them both but MW2 just feels a little looser. I preferred the tightness of the first. And for some reason those preceeding sentences made me feel very dirty.

Hehe quite funny that it's 15-15 vote at the moment. I personally prefer MW2 because it's faster paced, the customisation and the silliness of it. The same reason why I liked Halo but an updated version

I have just started playing Modern Warfare 2 online recently and remember having more fun playing Modern Warfare 1. I can't really nail down why, but MW1 was more fun for me.

It's weird. MW1 was leading by 2 when I voted but a lot of the comments say they enjoy MW2. I prefered MW1 because of sniping. Pathetic reason, yes, but I miss the bolt action rifles that feel like the do some damage, and the maps were a lot better.

Both are way over-rated but MW2 is slightly better then the first. Although the people who play both are mostly idiots and irritating arseholes.

MW1, I would say MW2 is IW hadn't messed around with the PC community. Overall I like MW1 because its longer and the MP just seems more fun, dedicated servers = minimal lag.
