Ah Monopoly. The most played commercial game of all time if Wikipedia is to be believed. Whenever anyone played there was always a squabble over what piece everyone got to play as. What piece did you usually end up playing as? (This is not the piece that was your favorite, just your most played cause everyone has that insistent jerk friend who demands whatever piece you want)

What was your general buying target? I always tried to get the railroads, boardwalk seemed like a lost cause that everyone squabbled over.

What Monopoly editions did you own?

I play as the battleship because statistically it is the most commonly lost piece in the set and in my collection of Monopoly sets which includes a few different versions of the original I still have the battleships for every single one of them.

I am that insistent jerk friend who insists on using the cowboy...or the little horse with the rider. Fortunately no one ever wants to use the cowboy. Wait, what, there's a version of Monopoly with a battleship? What the hell, Australia.

Hmm, just checked Wikipedia. Apparently the Aussie Monopoly does have a battleship. I am now certain we got the box without one. I feel cheated.

The boot. Because I always kick ass.
Ditto.
Haven't played that game in quite a few years... But I vividly remember beating my family with the boot every game.

The battleship, because it has guns and guns have the ability to demand Monopoly money at gunpoint.

Genius, right?

I don't know why, but the Iron was just amazing. It was so easy to pick up thanks to its helpful handle-bar, and so easy to slide across the board with its flat bottom. It was just perfect.

Apparently you have one of the early versions because those came with a cannon, a horse and rider, and a bag of money. I think some of those were replaced with the pieces from the more standard versions. As such I don't think you were as cheated as you get access to the rarer old pieces.

The Wheelbarrow! Where Else was I to carry my stash of Money with?!

OT:
I'd always go for the High-end streets, preferable the 25% before the "Start/Finish". I enjoy watching those scary faces once they are rolling the dice to get past my part of the board! Priceless!

The iron, the thimble or the hat. Mostly the iron.

I also have Monopoly: Pokémon Edition. ^.^

I liked to be the car so that I could pretend I was driving around admiring my properties. I was an incredibly lame child. When I was slightly older we bought a Las Vegas edition and so I was always the showgirl.

I always tried to buy the properties just before and after the start space because people were guaranteed to land there often.

But who cares about the cannon when you have a battleship? Battleships = more damage! Also I'm pretty sure my brother swallowed the cannon anyway.

Just to answer the other two questions which I did not see, I have the Beatles version as well. Except I consider it too special to use, so I just look at it. And I always made a point of purchasing all the utilities, and then Elizabeth, Collins and Bourke St. No real reason, they were just streets that I recognised.
