Do you go for good or evil in moral choice games such as Bioshock and inFamous? And I didn't take an in between option since games usually don't have that. I most of the times go for evil.

Just watch Zero Punctutation's "inFamous." That should solve this thread.

But just to be a statistic, I say good, usually since it results in some sort of prize (even if it is not in the form of an uber death gun that comes from you killing the Pope, or something equally as immoral)

Depends on the game really. Like in Fallout 3, I was good, but in inFamous from what I have heard, the moves you get for being evil are vastly superior to the good sides.

I play through the game doing whatever I feel like. I usually end up good, but if I run into a certain situation with a significant reward for being bad (the Shadow Court in Fable II)...

In some games (only really good ones) I play through twice or more to see what it's like. Although in Fable II, the world is a MUCH better place if you aren't a bad guy, plus you look better in my opinion. And in Fallout 3, you have to have good karma to get Fawkes.

I usually play the good first. Again, this is generally because games where there is only good and only evil seem to pigeonhole the "Selfish-but-forward-thinking-asshole" into the Good category. Honestly I like games like KOTOR 1 and 2 more, because they let you have a lot of gray area, which makes for more diverse characterization. I don't really feel connected to the character if the only two choices are things I don't really want to do. Or if they read into my actions too much; I played Bioshock and chose the good route because I liked the rewards more.

Can't we have a bit more choice? I loved KOTOR, Fallout 2, and Planescape: Torment for having a variety of choices, particularly the second two because you weren't rewarded in the game for being either evil or good (though it did change character reactions a lot, which was fantastic). Unless you killed a kid in Fallout 2. Then you got your head handed to you.

Still, if I like the game enough, I'll play through it multiple times with different choices. I played both good, evil, and neutral in all of the above titles, in addition to other variations in character not related to morality for Fallout 2 and Planescape.

I love to torture, I love to corrupt. Knights of the Old Republic was one of my favorite games, mostly because you could corrupt your crew as well as yourself. It's so much fun to draw a good character to the dark side and watch them change. I always make decisions based on the biggest amount of destruction it causes, and I never let anyone go, if the choice is mine.

I usually play both. And it all depends on the game whether or not I go evil or good first. In Bioshock I went good first because I could bring myself to hurt a little girl, no matter how creepy she was. But in Kotor... If I could force choke an entire planet I totally would.

Good. Even if the game's events aren't real, my conscience is.

Dakkon, sad to say, is never my slave.

It's very rare to find any game that does the system correctly. Most present evil choices as almost irrational and plays with your heart strings while the main character is too damned saintly. I've never found a game where you can truly just tell everyone to fuck off and do things the way you want to, or where there's a rationale to be evil aside from augmenting your power.

One of the reasons I liked both Oblivion and Fallout 3 were that your choices often were more than just a dialogue choice between good and evil, there was room to enjoy yourself doing stupid and mean things like planting armed grenades in people's inventories and starting bar fights, but ultimately you have to be a "good guy" when you play the main quest...

I usually play Good because my conscience guides my choices in games most of the time.

Depends on the game.

Truly it does. In black and white, I'm good. Always. And then theres things like bioshock and Infamous. >_> But I do play both. See its hard to emulate good and evil correctly to the right person as it means different things to different people.

I tend to lean towards the good side of moral choices. But most of the time I prefer the neutral route, if it is available.

Good. Well, most of the time. In BioShock I saved all of the little sisters and got 100 gamerscore for doing it. Fallout 3 I was good the whole time. But I also like going crazy and shooting everyone every once in a while. It's good to relieve stress.
