I usually find myself playing an extremely moral character in Skyrim. I tend to go that way in most video games with any semblance of moral choice actually, somehow my real world empathy bleeds over into virtual worlds as well. So I'm curious to see how others play, are you moral? Always standing up for what is just and true. Are you immoral? Going out of your way to do the wrong things, murdering, stealing etc. Or are you simply amoral? Having no morality but simply existing with no concept of right and wrong.

So Escapist, where does your character lean on the morality spectrum in Skyrim?

Badass.

Anyone who gets in the way of badass are obviously, morally, rightfully, beaten down with an axe.

You know, the only morality that is correct.
Might makes right.

I always end up playing the boy scout. At least on the first run through. I could go so far as to say that's my preferred role play game character arc.

I'm mostly amoral, because Skyrim has absolutely no consequences for being so. I honestly want to play a moral character, but everything in Skyrim is so insanely open-ended that it's apathy-inducing.

I tend to play a pretty moral character as long as there is no loot involved. I ended up joining a cannibalistic cult just because i got a fancy ring for it

I would say moral in that my character agrees to help anyone that asks (Though she could just be a pushover). However I am the hero of the story and thus it gives me right to take anyone's stuff.

I'm going to be that guy, but I'm seeing a pattern here, soooo...

moral : adjective

1 concerned with the principles of right and wrong behavior and the goodness or badness of human character:the moral dimensions of medical interventiona moral judgment

amoral : adjective

lacking a moral sense; unconcerned with the rightness or wrongness of something:an amoral attitude to sex

immoral : adjective

It didn't make me care enough to consider the morality, so I just default to being a nice guy.

I've stolen a fair bit of stuff though.

Well without that stupid morality bar holding me back I'm an anti hero. I almost always take the good route, help everyone, and I'm usually polite (but a little snarky), but if there is a substantial reward I usually give in to my selfish desires. Of course every character I make is a kleptomaniac thief too

First playthrough I usually play a moral character. Second playthrough I like to play an evil bastard whom kills pretty much everyone I meet.
