When the horrible event first happened, a lot of people were threatening to quit Sony products forever, or at least the PS3. There was talk about clearing accounts and selling systems (sometimes smashing). My question of the day is: did you go through with it? Did you have to respond drastically to the drastic situation?

Now, during this whole fiasco is when I got my PS3. I think it's why I could get it for such a low price! Then it was just a matter of using a brand-new ID, password and only buying the PSN cash cards for online purchases. No trail, no mess. I kind of wondered why so many people used their credit cards and real names, to be totally honest.

Maybe we can take a stab at how many Escapists switched over to Microsoft.

I was a mature individual who knew any petty threats I could make wouldn't make a difference to Sony. I patiently waited, though in the last 2 weeks I was tempted to switch to Xbox.

2 things stopped me from doing so: Good luck finding somebody to buy a PS3 while the PSN is still down, and I didn't want to have spend alot of money (I'm a cheap-ass). Glad I didn't do it.

I'd never bail on my PS3. :) Too many fond memories to get rid of it. And I don't bail on the first sign of danger.

I already had ps3 and xbox, so there was no matter of switching.

Im pretty attached to my ps3, so even after the hacking thing,
there was no danger of getting rid of my ps3.

No....

I already own a 360. So, getting rid of my PS3 would've just been stupid. I am always using those PSN cards anyways, thank goodness for them. The only thing that's out there now is my name and address.

So, if anyone is gonna do anything, they can just kiss my fat ass. I don't care anymore.

I got lucky. My credit card expired just a few days before PSN got hacked.
I still changed my account info to be on the safe side.

My name is now Joe Blow and I live at 123 Fake St. in Springfield.

Meh, I never played much online to begin with, so I didn't mind it that much.

Then you didn't go through with it. Problem solved!

I was surprised how many people had decided they were done with Sony altogether during the hottest heat of the outcry. Not even if Sony "got their act together", just calling them out entirely. I wonder how many of those people ended up committed to that. They sounded pretty damn serious at the time.

I bought a PS3 after the hack, not really worried about another hack because I refuse to give Sony any credit card info.

To be totally honest, all my ps3 is really is a netflix delivery device aside from the odd game I can't get on PC. I was able to use netflix onmy ps3 during the downtime so I honestly wasn't affected at all.

I didn't bail, but I haven't used my PS3 for a couple months now. Been playing games on my 360 mostly, but even that isn't very often either.

The poll results are a little one sided.

I have no problem with it to be fair Sony's reaction is what i have a problem with.

Pretty much this, I didn't bail, and I didn't care that it was hacked. Tempted to get a 360 regardless tho, some exclusives i quite fancy. But ps3 is still my console of choice.

I never did threaten to bail on Sony in the first place. Plus, I already had a 360, I just don't play on it much.

I have a PS3 but my brother mostly uses it anyway, I use the PC for most of my games. My brother, was pretty pissed off at the hack though, but he still plays the PS3 plenty.
