Here on the escapist we have quite a large abundance of people with opinions. Our articles are some of the most radical (especially back when it first started) and advanced in the business. This seeps through to our shows, and some of them make fairly controversial statements. Who do you think does the most of this?

Both Extra Credits and Zero Punctuation are outright about their feelings on things, but I think Big Picture takes it one step further by not binding itself to the subject of video games. Sure, Yahtzee has handed more than one developer their ass on a silver platter, and the folks at Extra Credits didn't hold back when they gave EA what for, but Moviebob showed the same moxie when he talked about the Michael Vick scandal.

Big Picture covers both entertainment and political subjects, so I think that brings it just a step above the other two.

Im gonna have to go with the big picture. For me ZP isnt so controversial as it is comedic and EC isnt so much controversial as it is intellectual.

MovieBob covers a lot of different topics on the Big picture, some are pretty tame (like the comics one) and others are opinionated observations but even so he gets it. He knows that opinions are completely subjective and hes honest, open, and most importantly tasteful about the subject matter.

So while Ill call the show the most controversial that really isnt a bad thing in how its done

Big Picture, especially after Maddening which, for a change in these sorts of things, I utterly agree with. As I usually disagree with Bob's points, that's a rare thing.

Yahtzee does the soapbox opinion thing for humour, Extra Credits do it to genuinely inform. Bob does it to get his opinion out - hence controversy.

(Time will tell if Jimquisition can match Bob. SOAPBOX BATTLE!)

Remember that Big picture episode about "PC gaming as we know it is dying"? Kinda need to have balls since a PC users are pretty vocal on this forum.

As for TV in general...Fox news.

I would say that new one with that Jim guy. He seems to be controversial for the sake of it.

Bob, especially after the Maddening Episode.

I dont honestly ever see EC being controversial, and with Yahtzee... well, if he wasnt he wouldnt have a job.

The Big Picture due to the whole pc is dead episode. How you seen how many people rage over that? I can't really speak out for Extra Credit since I don't watch it and Zero Punctuation it's just the people who like that game alot that get angry/ annoy the most.

I have the most controversial opinions ever. but seeing as I'm not on the poll, it's definitely movie bob. he makes me want to strangle him because I very much disagree with him on just about everything, especially in recent memory so I would say he's doing his job. the other two could hardly be called controversial in that respect. being a ranter doesn't necessarily make you controversial, it can be funny or thought provoking. Saying valve sucks and hasn't made a good game since the original half life, that's controversial.

I agree with this, I haven't heard his Valve thing but some of his reasoning for liking/disliking movies is pretty far out there (ex. Sucker Punch).

I would imagine the big picture, mostly because of the PC GAMING IS DEAD episode. MovieBobs other show and Yahtzee aren't nearly aiming for that level of controversy.

Movie Bob takes flame bait to a whole new level. I vote for him on this one.

Disclaimer: That doesn't mean I like him or his show tho...
Pretty much this. I still watch now and again, but it too often sounds like he's spoiling for a fight, rather than seeking discussion or debate.

None of them are controversial; they are entertainment. The only one that seriously sets up, presents and backs up the opinions on it is Extra Credits. The others are pure entertainment, without an ounce of argument behind its statements. And the opinions on Extra Credits aren't really controversial, they are generally totally obvious (but still well argued and presented, so by no means bad). So none of them are controversial.
