Watched the "The Big Picture" today and I noticed something off about Bob's accent...

Where's that accent from? And why did he only use it on this episode?

I know, i know, it's kind of nit picking but come on we have the right to be curious. :)

He's from Lynn, Massachusetts which isn't far from Boston I believe. That's his accent and he's had it before in his Shutter Island review and some of his other videos that I can't remember at the top of my head.

He's got a boston accent. He uses it when he gets riled up, or when he lets his persona slip. You can hear it in his Dark Knight rant from a few years ago, or in his review of Shutter Island.

Yup, as far as I know he's from around Boston. He mentioned it in a review for a Bruce Willis film (which I forget the name of) because it was filmed around there. It's one of the few American accents I actually quite like.

I've been in and out of Boston most of my life, and that doesn't sound right. Makes me think more of a New York accent, and it sounded deliberate. Doesn't mean it was, just saying, from my perspective, it seemed that way.

on the other hand, I'm probably hardly a proper New Englander because I pronounce my Rs, so....

Somebody in the comments suggested that maybe Bob was using the accent as a subtle joke about continuity change. I'm assuming thats the case.

What I don't get is why does he use the accent here? I fail to see why he should get so riled up about DC rebooting their continuity again. It's happened a couple more times already.

Well we have no idea what goes on behind the scenes with MovieBob, maybe he was just having a bad day?
