I'm not bashing static avatars, some are very cool but I'm kind of pro-animation at the moment.

Theres a fine line between good animation and distracting.

Yours is pretty blinky for my taste, but thats just how it goes.

I have one, both now and usually.

I like them myself, you can be very creative with them in a way that you can't be with still ones. I usually recognize people on avatars first, so having one that catches my eye helps.

So yeah, I like moving avatars.

Unless of course, everyone is using THE SAME ONE!!!!

But I digress,

I'd love to have a moving one, indeed the one I am using now should be a .gif, but for some reason it refuses to move Is there a size restriction of some sort, an option I am missing?

EDIT: Ah hell I just decided to head over to the avatar store and picked one up. It is just too awesome.

It depends on what I want, whether still or animated though, my avatars usually kick ass[footnote]ego showing[/footnote].

As for my thoughts, its all in what is in the avatar, not whether it moves or not.

I like them. I would get one but and I have no idea how to make avatars from videos. If I did, I probably would have one (well, maybe. I am fond of my Gentleman Typhlosion)

I prefer my avatars either very subtly animated or not at all.

Flashing and blinking is out of the question. It's distracting and annoying, much like those animated ad-banners.
