I understand studious have to make money. I get that Money is a wonderful thing, and its nice to have lots. But seriously, you dont have to push out a new game every year! I think I speak for most Gamers when i say......"My attention span is longer than 365 days". TFC was released in 1999. TF2 wasnt released until 2007. And it was worth it! Half Life 2 took 5 years to develop, and it kicked ass! i know those are both valve examples, but they are good examples! Look at how many people have played and are still playing TF2. Think about how excited people get when new Half Life content is announced. Its because when something is good, not adequate, but really really good, is worth waiting for! Games should make money for the developer, but games made solely for the purpose of making money rather than gameplay innovation and fun are unnecessary! I would love to hear some counter-points on this issue though, as this is pretty much just my opinion
