O.k. I know everyone remembers people either by name, or by face, seldom both, especially when you do not know the person very well.

So my question to you guys is, which do you remember better? Names or Faces?

Faces

I recognize people from years ago, but forget names pretty easily.

Usually faces, unless they are a very attractive female.... then I make a conscious effort to remember both.

Faces. I'm kinda terrible with new names.

Although once I've heard them a few times or concentrate I rarely forget them.

This is me. Dr Molly Clock. Except y'know, a guy and not a doctor and not attractive or blond or wearing a dress at this moment.

I remember faces a hell of a lot easier than names (still can't remember the names of half the people I've been going to school w/ for the past four years).

I, too, am not very good with names, but I have a near photographic memory when it comes to remembering faces.

Faces are easier for me to remember. It seems like names take too much work to remember, but faces I can just pull from the top of my head. Not really that useful though, since I know that I know the person when I see them, but I can't think of what to call them.

I rememeber people's faces, most of the time, but names can take me months to learn the names of people I live with (it was fun at uni last year in a house with 12)

Also, I often meet people who seem to genuinely know me, and other people tell me I've met them, but I can't remember them at all.

(Case in point, I got a friend request on Facebook lately, spoke to a bunch of people who also knew her, and apparently I had spoken to her several times, and appeared to have enjoyed her company. I felt very stupid.)

I recognize by face, mainly to make it easy without needing a use of language or when I've just been victim of robbery.

Me:"I've been robbed by Robbert McRobbingson!"

Someone:"Who? Did he look like this?"

Me:"Yeah, that's him."

Oh, I have embarassingly piss-poor facial recognition.

Once a college teacher who's class I had taken days before had shaved off the beard he always had & was trying to talk to me in front of the school, & I'm lie "do I know you?" XD

& I worked at a car dealership once. We had a Latino salesman & a salesman from India & they wore their same colored hair the same way & dressed similarly & I simply thought they were identical twins. I also cannot tell once blonde actress or singer from another.

Once on Linkara (a show on TGWTG) he showed up without his usual glasses & hat & I thought that he was a stand-in until he put them on, & I'm like "Oh! It was him all along."
