Ok so this was mentioned in a thread only moments ago so I thought I'd take advantage of that :p

Which platform do you use for Oblivion and why do you prefer this one over the other choices?

I knew it! =D

xbox all the way :)

I liked the PC version but its still a bit laggy around the edges, i think i prefer the xbox version because it runs so smoothly and i have all of the DLC on my xbox already

PC has mods and cheats, 360 has better controls and PS3 has a hefty price tag.

I have both the 360 and the PC version. I like the 360 version way more do to the controls. But I like gamepads way more then K&M.

Sometimes I'll play around with the pc version to play around with the mods, but I have yet to find one that makes up for how painful the interface is to control with a mouse

If you've got a pc that can run it with good graphics and a good framerate, then holy crap, PC all the way!
You've got console commands which I use as a getaround for the retarded levelling system (modpca [attribute] [number]) to make sure i level +5 in three statistics each level up :p

and a decent pc can actually runt he game nicer than a 360 can, and, probably a ps3 too.

and then... the MODS.
Extra quests, an overhaul of the melee combat system, nudity (heh) anything you can imagine! It all adds longitivity and fun to the game

I have to go PC, flexibility to mod it yourself using the construction kit, download other user mods, and if I'm feeling rather angry that day I can run around doing 'killall' and watch NPCs drop dead around me.

The PS3 version is also nearly impossible to find, as they no longer produce copies of it.

PC, because you can mod it untill it's actually fun to play.
I didn't think vanilla Oblivion was as weak as most of my PC-gaming brethren did, but if they don't hire Francesco or Oscuro or any of the other talented modders to be part of the design team for TES5, it'll be a real shame.

PC + mods = win.

Why 360? It doesn't really have better controls...
No, it really doesn't, you're right. Hell, you could even map your 360 controller to your PC game if you really wanted to and play it that way (although I'd personally never trade that for a K&M), so controls ought not be a complaint. There's no way anybody should be voting for the 360 version, unless they just don't have a PC that can play the game. But that seems like it's not really helping the OP out any.

You can have Oblivion. Or you can have Oblivion + the potential for modifications. Hmmm...

I got it on the 360 first, ploughed a couple of hundred hours into it, then got the PC version for mods. I like 'em equally. I've got a save on the PC that I'm playing without mods or cheats, so it's not like there's much difference anyway.
