Recently someone asked me what I considered myself. I figure I'll take that question and throw it on the forums as well (since after a search I don't believe it has been done yet).

Extroverts: They generally draw their energy from social contact. For fun, they enjoy social gatherings and parties; generally any option where it places them around a group of people. They tend to think as they're speaking.

Introverts: They generally prefer time alone as their way of securing energy. Somewhat awkward in social situations, they tend to think before they speak, preferring conversation that they can go somewhere with. Often they are the "wallflowers" of the party. Can generally get their feelings out on paper better than with words. They tend to have smaller circles of friends whereas an extrovert may have far more.

Either way, which do you fall under most?

Introvert, definitely. I have problems with self-confidence. Personally, the only time I'm ever an extrovert is when acting. I have a passion for drama...

Introvert. People annoy me. They are stupid, ignorant and retarded.

Sure, you can call me a sociopa... I mean, an egocentric, but I can count on my one hand people I know I could talk with. Others? Slow and low-brow.

I am generally speaking an introvert, but that's because I am quiet by nature (and am slowly becoming more and more misanthropic).

Having said that I do enjoy social stuff, although I have to be in a certain mood for it. I haven't been clubbing in ages... -_-

I'm an introvert, but this is always a difficult question to ask people. Like the "Are you left-brained or right-brained?" question, one option will always sound more appealing to people, regardless of how well you phrase it.

I find that people will often prefer to call themselves right-brained because they want to think of themselves as creative and different, just as I've found that people will prefer to call themselves extroverted because they want to think of themselves as social, friendly and outgoing people. (That is unless they frequent this site and you tell them that Yahtzee is clearly introverted.)

I am an introvert.
But thats because i hate most of the people on this planet. I also have a lot of friends with annoying personalities which makes my urge to be alone even stronger.

I'd have to say I'm fairly extroverted. I do value my alone time and enjoy reading but I naturally get along with pretty much everyone (something to do with the fact that hold you all in equal contempt bwaahahahaa!) Also when out, I'm always the one cracking bad jokes, drinking lots more than I should (I even occassionally get the girl!) and generally being a happy pratt. I like to dance inappropriately, out of time and with my arms akimbo (after a fair few drinks of course)

I once got kicked out of a gaming club for telling the joke about the black and white space marine on the black and white bike, loudly, at a tournament.

I tend to suck at paintball for these reasons though. Apparently leading a "braveheart" charge against a well entrenched enemy force was the wrong move. (There was a point to it however as I was holding a smoke grenade in each hand.)

Remember, I didn't say I wasn't weird as well.

I do find it amusing that people have spoken up to say they're introverted, surely the rest of you can see the humour in this?

Yes, but there's a difference in speaking up on the internet, where mostly people are anonymous, and speaking up in the real world. A lot of things I say here I would never tell my friends, but can do so on the Internet because people here don't know me, my friends do.

As for the paintball thing, I wouldn't want to go up against you, mate. Simply because I prefer military style tactics and would probably be pretty pissed off at any LEEEROY JENKINS style antics... Well done though if it worked :D

Introvert. Just like most nerdy types.

I'm absolutely shit at talking to people. When I'm forced into social situations I tend to hang my head and hide in a corner...

Introvert. I have plenty of friends but in a social situation I tend to lock up around girls. And I definately do a lot better on paper.
