Wait, I can't decide in the game?
[HEADING=1]NO![/HEADING]
WHAT THE HELL DO YOU THINK THIS IS?! A BIOWARE GAME?! GTFO!!
Just kidding.
But I think they should let you decide in the game, that way it can tailor individually to each player, instead of as a collective.
Because if he lives, I'm sure some people will feel ripped off, and if he dies, some people will probably get annoyed.
Um, yeah. If you dangle this guy in front of me as someone I could save, and then tell me I can't because I didn't buy a T-shirt on XBLA, my response is: but I bought your $50 game. If I didn't read the Escapist or follow GoW 3 news and never heard about this, it's not going to go over well.
Yes, Child's Play is worth donating to. But this feels a lot like one of those "vote as to whether this character lives or dies!" things that comics, or TV shows with a strong online following, tend to come out with. Doesn't feel very Gears-y. But if I chainsaw the bloke who's about to kill him--that's Gears.
I'm not a massive Gears fan or anything, I had fun playing the first two in co-op and that's about it, but this is just sort of... odd.
