Ha ha!
you thought i was going to bable about Infamous.
well im not.

instead im simply asking, is it me, or is there more dialog and less gameplay in Valkyria Chronicles than Metal Gear solid 4?

Edit: and does it ruin the game for you?

There is definitely more anime than gameplay in Valkyria Chronicles (it's one bad point) but as I like anime, it doesn't bother me. At least it looks good and the gameplay that is there makes up for it.

The individual cutscenes aren't as long as mgs4's but as a whole they might be.

Metal Gear Solid has always been wordy, and there's probably more in that game, I think.

Still, it doesn't ruin the game for me - why would it? There's nothing wrong with dialogue, as long as its good and its not delivered in an annoying manner.

I've played neither and quite honestly don't care.
Oh, and it's spelt Dialogue.
I must agree.
And OP, next time, instead of making misleading thread titles, you should just make them straight to the point.

If I wanted to sit and watch a bunch of characters chit chat about nanobots, nuclear battle tanks, and other such crap I'd just go rent a movie instead of wasting my money on a poorly written series of cutscenes. I really liked the first MGS game, but found way too many holes in the plot to take it seriously, or even consider it a really good story. If I ignore some of the utter BS about genetics and all that it makes a lot more sense.

you know the cutscene in mgs4 thats over an hour? beleive it or not most of that is action. if you cohuldnt tell wich one it was it was the one where.

where snakes face is burned and liqued uses guns of the patriots in that river and he kills all those soldiers.

about a half hour of just the army setting up and getting shot.

I completely agree, unless the tangeant in the title has some relevence to the subject (eg: 'SEX! SEX! SEX! Now I have you're attention let's talk about [insert subject here]') it is best avoided.

Back on topic, while MGS does have a habit of rambling on about topics I couldn't care less about it redeems itself in the fact that most of it is skippable and the information itself is usually not required in-game. I Haven't played Valkyria Chronicles so I can't comment although I have heard it is, sadly, unskippable so I deem that the worse of the two.
