The Idea:
I want to hear ideas for character builds basically. I'm thinking, lets say 6-8 major skills (or perk trees) and a general playstlye with a job title. (I know skyrim is keen to just let you be anything you want to be and thats just fine, this is just for my interests).
I'm not interested in the "best" damage possible build or anything like that, just different roles that can be fun to play.

E.g.
Job:Thief
Skills:Sneak,Pickpocket,Lockpicking,Alchemy,Illusion,Speech
General playstyle: Use sneak to steal/borrow shiny things, Alchemy to make invisability potions, no weapon skills cos you're not a murderer and illusion skills to turn foes against each other.

Disclaimer*
Builds are not trying to be the "best" at anything, just for possible fun to play as characters, given I've just broken my knee and right middle finger, so I've just gained far far too much spare time and hell I like talking to others about skyrim.

Inb4 arrow to the knee jokes

Master Craftsman
Smithing, Enchanting, Alchemy, Speech and favorite Combat / Armor perks.

Delve into caves and mines, pick flowers like a madman. Craft everything, improve all weapons and armor and enchant everything. Use Speech to sell everything at max profit. Become filthy rich and buy a stake in the entire universe.

I wanted to make that comment... Then I took a warhammer to the face..

Anyway on to the topic.
Why go back to 6-8 major skills man :p
Okay so I picked

Light armor, one handed, sneak, archery, pickpocketing, smithing and then I ran out of ideas.
That's all I used intensively =/
As for a Playstyle: My own interests first covers that load.
The Job Title: Man of all Trades for hire.

I used to not have enough spare time, but then I took an arrow to the knee.

I don't have Skyrim yet, but I just needed to say that.

EDIT: Not disappointing anyone I see ^^

Job: Ghost
Skills: Sneak, INVISIBILITY
General Playstyle: Run around while invisible and move objects around in front of people. THE HORROR! Also (I've not played skyrim yet so not sure if this is in it) make the walls bleed.

Screw it, I'm going for it: Was it an arrow to the knee that broke it? :D
I used to have a broken knee. but then I took an arrow to the knee. :3

Anyway: Job: Hunter
Skills: Marksman, Alchemy, Light Armour, Sneak, Restoration, Speech, One-Handed Weapons.
Playstyle: Marksman (for the obvious shooting) and One handed in case they get too close. The Sneaking so he can sneak up on the animals without having to run after them for miles, and light armour so he can keep moving all the time. Restoration so he can keep himself alive whilst fighting, and the Speech so he can sell the pelts, Alchemy so he can use the food to make soup/stews etc.

I currently have four characters on the go at the moment:
Race/Class: Dunmer Battlemage.
Skills: Destruction, Conjuration, Heavy Armour, One Handed (Axe)
Affiliations: Indifferent to the civil war, joined Mages college, worships daedra.
Play style: Played as a noble of House Redoran with an interest in the magical arts. Chivalrous to a fault. Refuses to break the law.
Race/Class: Khajiit Assassin.
Skills: Sneak, Lockpick, Archery, Alchemy (poisons)
Affiliations: Indifferent to the civil war, joined Thieves guild and Dark Brotherhood. Nightingale.
Play style: Unscrupulous psychopath who takes too much pleasure from his work. If you don't get seen you can't get caught.
Race/Class: Nord Tribesman.
Skills: Light Armour, Two Handed (Axes), Armourer.
Affiliations: Staunch Stormcloak, joined Companions, werewolf.
Play style: Unlettered, thick skulled tribal who is closer to Forsworn than Stormcloak. Savage. Charges in to deal with problems head on, regardless of consequences or odds.
Race/Class: Breton Knight.
Skills: Heavy Armour, One Handed (swords), Armourer, Speech
Affiliations: Loyal Imperial subject and Blade.
Play style: Was Hannibal Lector-like sociopath and vampire, however now cured and has pledged his life to the Blades to atone for once being a vamp.

If i got around to play Skyrim, i'd play as a fantasy extremist racist.

For example, playing as a Nord and deciding that i hate every Khajiit, wich leads to:

1) Not taking any sidequests from them
2) Start fights with them
3) Don't take or use anything related to them
4) Kill if one of them is really annoying.

Considering that there are maybe 5 non-hostile Khajit in the whole world you might wanna extend that to Argonians and elves a bit.

Me, I played a Breton Mage who was handy with a sword.

Skills: Destruction, Conjuration, Speech, Sneak
Playstyle: Join Mages' guild and try to take quests that didn't involve Imperials or Stormcloaks. Was a daedra supporter.

Me current character:

Hazhir, Khajiit.

Occupation (public): Tomb Raider and merchant, reluctant dragonslayer.
Occupation (hidden): Criminal and assassin. Hobby archaeologist.

Skills: Sneak, Archery, One-Handed Weapons, Alchemy, Speech and Lockpicking.

Playstyle: a professional with standards. Business is business, wether it be killing an anarchistic bandit disrupting the order, steal a corrupt noble's ancestral mead-mug or assassinating an old man in hiding. Of course, one must have standards. A truly skilled agent doesn't have to kill anyone but the mark. A bystander cut down is a bystander you will never be able to scam gold off ever again. Often employ disguises and attempts to keep up the facade of a well-meaning dragonslaying merchant.

It's quite fun, and it's interesting to take the whole cloke and dagger-thing to its logical extreme.
