What do you think of this particular family?
Are the parents anything but a pair of paedophiles who took advantage of their naive son?

I personally find the whole situation disgusting, and don't believe a word that the parents say (especially when they try to justify their actions by stating that they were educating their son). The sad thing is, stuff like this must happen all around the world, and ninety percent of it probably goes unreported.

However, I understand that others will have different opinions on the subject, and in my mind this incident raises the question of parenting freedom. Just how much leeway should parents be allowed by society when it comes to methods of raising children? Just how guilty are the parents in question?

Ummm...well, parents should be able to raise their kids as they feel appropiate...

But I don't think rape and child molesting are appropiate strageties for raising one's child.

Very, very wrong on the parents part, however,

seems like a little harsh. Conformity is great, and what these parents did was mental, but if you want to raise your child oddly, I am all for it.

Umm... the article says they even recorded video and posted it online. That's... insane. I mean, I'm all for free love and appreciation of the human body and all that, but damn. Sex with prepubescents is sick enough, but posting videos online... There are no words to describe how completely insane these people are.

Wow, evil parents. Yeah it's your right to raise your child how you want as long as you conform with some tiny sane rules... like not having sex with them or teaching them to be mass murderers. Believe it or not, this happened to my best friend when he was child. Got put into an orphanage and got adopted by a decent woman and he's turned into a pretty decent fellow. Had a few run ins with the law here and there but he's a nice guy.

That's not raising the child... You can't do whatever you want and say it's just raising them. What they did was illegal, and there's no matter what they say, you can't justify it.

Society has too strong a say in this. Societies change, but there are still some things a parent shouldn't be allowed to do, no matter the changes in society.

They recorded it, and they put it online. Honestly, I don't believe what they're saying either. I find it disgusting that they even did that, or thought of it before they did it.
Even if the son "wants it done", he's 9 (10 now), and it shouldn't, in my view, be done to him.

1 Man, 1 Woman, Booze and a broken condom/no birth control.
